Brunette, just brighter.

For this fall refresh, I kept the richness of her brunette and added soft golden dimension through the hair for brightness without taking away the depth.

The result is warm, blended, and lived-in, with enough contrast to make the color feel fresh without looking overdone.

If you want to lighten things up for fall without feeling fully blonde, this is a great direction.

Beachy texture doesn’t have to come from just one tool. 🌊

For this look, I’m alternating between a waver and a curling iron. The waver creates that loose, lived-in bend, while the curling iron adds more defined pieces and movement.

Mixing the two keeps the texture from looking too uniform or overly curled. The goal is effortless, not perfect.

Sometimes keeping the length is exactly what’s keeping your hair from feeling new.

We took her hair from down her back to a long, layered bob with soft face framing and movement throughout.

She still has plenty of length to play with, but now the shape does the work for her.

Not every highlight appointment needs to be a massive foil marathon.

She already had grown-out highlights through her hair, so instead of highlighting everything again, I focused this appointment across the top with very fine sections.

That was enough to bring back the caramel brightness and dimension we wanted without doing more than her hair actually needed.

Next time, we may add a few more highlights around the sides of her face to tie everything together.

This is how I like to approach color. Sometimes we do the big transformation. Other times, we focus on one area and get the job done.

It can be healthier for the hair, easier on your schedule, and easier on your budget.

Great color isn’t about how many foils you get. It’s about putting the right ones in the right places.

Want your blonde to look brighter? Sometimes the answer isn’t adding more blonde.

Keeping the right amount of depth between highlights creates contrast, dimension, and that bright pop you actually notice. It also gives the hair a softer, more natural grow-out.

Sometimes the biggest transformation is simply making everything feel intentional again.

Highlights hit different when the haircut works with them.

For this look, I wanted the brightness to feel blended throughout the hair while still giving her plenty of dimension.

Then the cut brings it together. Long layers create movement and give those lighter pieces somewhere to fall, instead of the hair feeling like one solid shape.

Bright, dimensional, and still soft enough to grow out beautifully.

A good curly cut starts with the shape. The right products help bring it to life.

For this cut, I wanted to create movement, encourage her natural curl pattern, and give the shape enough structure that it still feels intentional as she wears it day to day.

I’ve also been exploring some new product options for my curly clients. Not just looking for something that makes curls look great when they leave my chair, but products that make it easier to recreate the result at home.

Still testing, learning, and refining. Because curly hair isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither should the approach be.
