Cage Cutting Basics ⚔️

Last night was all about the footwork 🦶 and maintaining desirable positioning.

In MMA, as in life, it’s important to account for as many variables as possible. When the cage is a factor, we need to be ready to use it!

We focused on using footwork to cut off our partners, not letting them escape from being backed against the cage.

Then, we drilled using a punch 🥊 or kick 🦵 on the side they’re moving towards to stop them in their tracks and set up our bigger blows!

We’ve been going hard 💪 on footwork for months now and now seeing it pay off! It’s nice when your feet just move and you don’t have to think much about it anymore 🙌 by @fusionxcelperformance

That's a wrap!

After a great first round finish and out pouring of love from his family, team, and best friends @jwill1224 made his last move in the octagon by laying down his fights. But he's not done! He'll still be smothering fools in his gym DAILY and building up the next generation of fighters 👊 show him ❤️ in the comments!

We packed a TON into a 45-minute class yesterday 💪

One of the most important conversations 🗣️ I have consistently with this group is about effort.

They’ll get out what they put in, and they certainly put in the work this class!

Conditioning, footwork, coordination drills, kicking drills, bag work, AND we even had time for a game 🙌

I’m proud of them for stepping up and showing that they’re here to get better, not just go through the motions 👊🙏 by @fusionxcelperformance

4 days out!!! @combatnightmma this Saturday. My students and coaches on staff keeping me ready. @twrecks155 means smother choke. 🤣
