Before I start this post, I want to congratulate everyone on the NAIA team for effort and accomplishment achieved last night. It’s one thing to watch a teammate win and a whole other to see a glimpse of what it took to get there. I’m beyond proud of everyone there. I can’t wait to also see what our NCWA team has in store this upcoming weekend.

I didn’t think I’d ever make another injured post, but we all have surprises in our life. This year was my first year competing since I was 18. I’m 20 turning 21 in not too long, and I’ll likely be 22 when I return again. From my first match to my last match this season has been without an ACL. The mental stress and physical pain of competing without one has been crushing. My record was 6 wins with 4 losses and no matter if I won or lost the match, I knew I was no where near my potential. It’s time I take my health serious and grow as a man exploring ways I can give back to all that was given to me.
