It is with great sadness that Maddie and I announce that Luna has been released from the Guide Dog Foundation, America’s Vet Dogs, and all affiliated programs. On June 1st, we received the devastating news that while Luna was completing home training, she began to growl at various objects. It was decided that she be released due to inappropriate vocalization. This came as a shock to both Maddie and me as Luna received nothing but absolute stellar reports from her trainer. Knowing that she was so close to graduation makes this even harder for us. Luna is the most perfect dog and we know that she loves to work. It has taken us a very long time to come to terms with her release, which is why we did not share sooner. We are truly devastated. It is really difficult to accept that she will not be a service dog. We had no doubt in our minds that she would be successful, but sometimes things just do not work out. Maddie and I are true believers that our dogs tell us where they are meant to be. And thats the case with Luna. We cannot thank Morgan enough for helping us navigate the news and the transition of getting her back. We also want to thank @sierraarnett_ for all of the support and genuine LOVE for our golden girl. She truly helped us to shape Luna into the best girl.
I (Cara) will be adopting her back. Although we are very sad Luna did not get to fulfill her original purpose, we are very excited to welcome her home. She is spending her first day back with both her moms celebrating her belated birthday and her homecoming. We love our Tuna Luna to the moon and back.

I am so excited to announce that Avery graduated as a service dog today! She is the first dog I have raised through GDF, and the first dog I have raised completely on my own. I have so much love for this dog and I am so happy that she gets to make a difference in someone’s life.
Avery is the second dog to graduate from Clemson Puppies with a Purpose, and I know she will make them proud.
Cheers to Avery’s next phase of life. You’re one in a million ❤️

Introducing puppy #4, Doc!!
(perfect name for a vet school puppy 🤭)
Doc is a male Standard Poodle from the Trisha x Walter litter. He is a guide dog in training for @guidedogfoundation
Doc will arrive in Athens on September 7th (a slightly late birthday present for me!) by @futureguidedoc

Our boy is going IFT!! 💙 Words cannot describe how incredibly proud I am of Doc. There is nothing more precious than the bond we share. This is a huge milestone. Over the past year and and 3 months I have put my everything into Doc’s training. I cannot thank Kyndall and Nat enough for agreeing to help finish him. weeks 36 + 37 🫴🫴

lots of solo AND joint outings for the boys the past couple weeks! we’ve been keeping busy all over town. and it would be remiss if we didn’t mention that manta passed his YODA this week!!! go manta!!! we love you!!!🥳🪼

A few months ago, I discovered my previous dog Luna was released, and had to make the decision to get a finisher for Doc. At that time, I took Doc to build-a-bear because I was unsure where he’d end up. Thankfully, he was able to stick around, and I am so thankful that @chasing.manta.rays.gdf agreed to raise him with me!!

weeks 33-35! 🪲

moms are busy with school, but the boys have still had a busy september!! feels like they’re at coffee shops just as much as they’re in class with us 😵‍💫 but they’re doing incredible and they blow us away every day! can’t wait to spend fall with our boys 🍂🍄 by @futureguidedoc

popping in with highlights from weeks 31+32!!

we’re very proud of how both of the boys have been doing. 🥹 they’ve been killing it at meetings all month long!! it’s been an adjustment for all of us going back to classes every day, but safe to say they’ve been handling it just fine. i’m sure the pup cups and play dates make it all better anyway🙂‍↕️
