Homo Faber, Venice, 1-30 September 2026.

In October 2025, I was commissioned by @homofaber as one of 14 global craft experts to find and put forward exceptional craft-led artisans from across the world for inclusion in the third edition of the internationally recognised biennale ; Homo Faber - An Island of Light.

This weekend, I had the privilege to attend the private view on Sunday.

Having not attended before, I expected the artistic direction by @esdevlin to be good, but what I discovered simply sent me to tears.

Each room, corridor and site specific installation was simply overwhelming. The respect and consideration to the 700 handmade objects was delivered with the utmost respect, provoking the viewer to engage and fall in love with the piece itself but more importantly made one respect the skill involved to produce said piece.

Over my 21 year career, I've been invited to showcases across the world to celebrate craft and design in some extraordinary surroundings. This show however was an experience I've never encountered before - utterly mesmerising.

A huge congratulations to the Homo Faber team, Es Devlin but most importantly to the 500 hand selected artisans who were invited to show and attend.

Only 5 days left to visit @homofaber in Venice.

As stated multiple times, it was the best show I've ever attended in my 22 year career. The sensitive and considered approach to the handmade object was simply outstanding.

This week alone I've had multiple messages from friends and industry professionals who stated exactly the same. Thanks for taking my recommendation 😉

Congratulations team @homofaber and the artistic director @esdevlin for this experience. Most importantly, CONGRATULATIONS to the 500+ artisans chosen to show and demonstrate. I super excited to see who have won the awards next week!

GO. You can do it in a day by getting the first and last flight out of Venice. Worth every penny for an experience like this.

Introducing our latest artisan to the Future Icons family @zuzanaphilipart 🙌🫶🙌

Zuzana Philip is a London-based artist who bridges the worlds of sculptural craft and luxury spatial design. Originally from Slovakia, her career spans more than two decades of exploring texture, form, and light. Today, she is best known for her intricate, large-scale washi paper wall sculptures. Combining minimal architecture with high-texture craftsmanship, international private collectors and interior designers regularly seek her bespoke installations.

I had a VERY nice treat this week!

As some of you know.. I LOVE POST! To my utter surprise, I was sent a beautiful book by textile artist Sarah Ward Podlesny of @larkandbower an artisan I had the privilege of showcasing and consulting during my residency at The Burlington arcade in 2021.

Published by @herbert.press , this beautiful book will teach you how to create beautiful textile artworks without investing in a loom. Scroll across to see some extraordinary examples.

I have no idea how Sarah has managed to create so many intricate examples as well as write a book in such a short space of time 🤯🤯🤯🤯

Just left the most delightful celebration of craft artisans in the King's Road @penhaligons showroom.

This was super special as my delightful friends @qestcraft selected 3 artisans I've showcased over the years.. @sofia.karakatsanis @natmaks & @fung.bedford

This round's Awards & Bursaries include:

> Broderers' Award – Embroidery

> Arts Society GLA Award – Traditional and heritage craft skills
> Basketmakers' Award – Basketmaking

The summer holidays have passed by in a blur of sandy toes and learning, we’re officially back to school and back to my studio making new work for @decorex_international Making Spaces ✨

Making spaces is a specialist showcase @decorex_international and I am delighted to have been selected as one of 14 outstanding artisans and makers handpicked for their commitment to craftsmanship and creativity 🧑‍🎨

I’ll be sharing a selection of new wall based sculptures and freestanding paper works as well as demonstrating my craft skills across the duration of the show ✂️
