A huge congrats to long-time (and current) AHP athlete Erik Sabrowski on helping the Cleveland Guardians advance to the American League Championship after defeating the Chicago White Sox last night.

Sabrowski entered the game in the 6th inning with the bases loaded and struck out Munetaka Murakami. It was the second straight game he was called upon in a bases loaded jam - and both times he escaped with a strikeout!

Easton Gruending came to us last year from Grande Prairie with a FB in the low 80’s and left us 1 year later closing in on 90 mph and at one of the best Juco’s In the country at Iowa Western.

Our approach with him was extremely simple.

1) Put on mass and prioritize his ability to move “under the hood”

2) Own the fundamentals of the delivery then let your athleticism take over. This guy spent as much time as any in the Rocker position.
