⚡ 10 days, 100 events, and 1000 community visions later – we did it!Future of Us is a collective act of civic hope, and so many people came together to make it possible. Thank you to the Fellows who worked tirelessly to bring their visions for a more connected, compassionate, expressive, or sustainable future to their communities. To the artists who poured their talents into making beautiful sense of complex ideas and caretaking community dreams.To the musicians, poets, dancers, and performers who filled the program with joy, soul, critique, and inspiration.To the partners who offered their support, their spaces, their artisanship, their resources, and their energy to turn the festival into a citywide celebration of creative civic collaboration.To the brilliant speakers and storytellers who shared their ideas, dreams, and wisdoms across our stages and conversations.To the advisors who stood by us every step of the way, sharing their insights, guiding us through the challenges, and reminding us to hold tight to the spirit that sparked this work in the first place.To the team – the co-creators who gave everything they had to bet on a future built by the people, the co-builders who chose civic hope, the vendors who helped make it all beautiful, and critically, to the many generous volunteers who kept it all running.And to you, for showing up, for your support and powerful words of encouragement, for finding each other and seeding the connections that catalyze a community, and for proving there's not only a need for a different kind of civic culture, there's a craving for it. Man, what an unbelievable feat this was to pull off with such a small team. It's safe to say the Future of Us was a success by all means and was WELL received by anyone that got to experience this. We really do need more spaces like this to bring people together around building our futures and letting our worlds collide 🌎We had- 14 days straight from load in to load out- 90+ events across all of San Francisco- 80+ musical performers booked- 25+ visual/sensory artists commissioned- And over 10k people got to feel what we’ve been building for over a year nowThank you to Everyone that played a part in making this happen. There's honestly too many of you to name, but I'm just grateful for each and every one of you that helped lift this up, even if you just came out to have a good time with us 🙏🏾Special shoutout to my the team that started this all@sastronautt @louisepwo @jaswow_ @alisaahmadian Excited for what’s to come from all of this... ⚡️ by @futures.us

Sooooo I’ve been dating, and for our second date, it was a complete surprise, but he took me to San Francisco to the @futures.us headquarters for a day of art, culture, and community.Future of Us is a 10-day civic imagination festival in San Francisco that reimagines civic culture using storytelling, design, and inclusive dialogue to surface collective visions—making civic life creative, joyful, and accessible. Through cultural events, national tours, and scalable tools, Future of Us is investing in the cultural foundations that democracy needs to thrive.All the things I LOVE in my work, you know outside of being energy on stage.I got to wander the galleries and take my time reading and absorbing. On the roof, I had unlimited drinks, a throw blanket, and got to listen to my MIT (man in training) play a fire set - with songs dedicated to me sprinkled through 🤭. Afterward, we cuddled on the couch while listening to some brilliant minds discuss wellbeing and creativity. I thought I had seen it all, but there’s always more with him, a hidden gallery. Then the night ended with a song bird and a two-step. Yes, this man can Step 🥹.If you didn’t catch @futures.us don’t worry, they have plenty coming. Tap in and stay tuned. by @futures.us

While I prepare the final documentation of the show, here's an album that offers a look at our creative process until assembled. We began layering the physical space, integrating deep symbology, and building a narrative around our perspective on the future. Have you visited to Portola SF’s hidden community and garden oasis, the “Green Between”? 🌱I had the most beautiful time there yesterday helping to facilitate the “Futures of Care” event centered around #civiccare & #creativevisioning. I’m beyond grateful to @kevcultureshaw for this holistic VISION, the invitation to co-facilitate, and the medicine that was community + mindful tending to the land + creative visioning + art + connection through story. I was super excited to check out @futures.us , a festival in SF bringing the community together to discuss change for the future! The first event I attended was a labrynth walk that focused on a lot of grounding and self reflection with taking a step towards change with small steps of action. Then! I went to @thepearlsf / @pier70sf to check out some exhibitions and local businesses featured in the celebrations! This week long festival is ending soon with a few more cool events happening. And if you want to jump into the Earthlings Scavenger Hunt in San Francisco head over to the link in @ecos_sciart bio.I’m partnering with @futures.us and @ecos_sciart to deliver a city-wide, self-led scavenger hunt in San Francisco now through July 12. As part of the Future of Us Festival, an arts education festival that invites the community to reimagine our social, media, tech and green futures, the Earthlings Scavenger Hunt is just one way to engage with local wildlife stories that gamify science education. Research without communication doesn’t reach its full impact without art to amplify its message.The @futures.us festival took more than science into account when they curated an exhibit and a week-long event for the San Francisco community. Play can be many things... and sometimes it's not what you'd expect. Exploration, discovery, and collection are all ways we can continue to play, learn, and grow; at any age. Courage is magnified and stretched like a rubber band, snapping with sheer joy as you express your fullest self on the dance floor. That’s what Waacking feels like. For me, it feels like the space where physics meets dance. You have to use velocity to complete a move.
