Becoming a confident nail professional takes more than creating a beautiful set. It starts with understanding why you do each step, how your products work, and how to work safely.

LEARN the basics.
Nail anatomy, hygiene and sanitation, proper preparation, and product knowledge belong at the beginning of your journey. If you’ve started your certification class, keep going. Ask questions, complete your assignments, and give yourself time to understand the fundamentals.

PRACTICE with purpose.
Turn what you’ve learned into skills you can repeat. Work on structure, application, and product control. Practice on real models, seek feedback, and learn from each set.

IMPROVE your technique.
Cleaner application and more consistent shaping come before speed. Build good habits first, then learn to work more efficiently without compromising quality.

There’s just something about a beautiful, rich burgundy red set!

Sometimes the simplest sets make the biggest statement. No nail art, no extras, just beautiful structure, a clean finish and a colour that speaks for itself.

I mixed a little @fuzion_nails Paintz Burgundy 103 with Red 101 and darkened it with a touch of Black 101 to create this gorgeous shade, and I think we found a new favourite!

We wanted a subtle peekaboo effect on the free edge, with just a touch of colour showing underneath the nail. To create that look, we started by sculpting the nail with clear gel so the colour underneath would stay visible.

And yes, I completely forgot to take photos or video from underneath once they were finished. 😅 So I had to ask my client to send me a little video so I could actually show you the final peekaboo effect on the free edge.
