Little appreciation post for the people who have stepped up and helped us keep this thing moving.

We’ve known these guys for years and we’ve had the privilege of watching them pour their hearts into music through their own bands and projects. They’re hardworking, talented musicians, but more importantly, they’re our friends. So here’s a little bit about them and their bands!

@rsmith93proof: drummer & guitarist for @fuzzstration and the creator of @fuzzypigfestival. Ryan is one of the hardest working people we know. He’s always moving, always creating, and always making things happen. He’s a ball of energy in the best possible way & that energy is contagious. There’s something really special about a person who puts so much heart into everything they do

Matt Seelye: guitarist for @fuzzstration & Ryan’s been playing alongside him for over five years. There’s something really cool about getting to play with people who already have that kind of history and chemistry together. Matt brings years of experience, a great ear, and a genuine love for making music. He’s the kind of person you want beside you when you’re trying to build something, and we’re really grateful he’s here.

@lance_oliphant: singer and guitarist for @eclectrictunes Lance is one of those musicians who can pick up an instrument and just feel it. His talent is honestly something else, and getting to play alongside him is something we don’t take for granted. We have so much respect for what he brings to the music and to this band.

When these guys stepped in with us, they didn’t just fill spots. They brought their own energy, ideas, experience, and love for what they do. And somehow, through all of it, we’ve found ourselves moving in new directions together.

We’re proud as hell to be sharing a stage with them. We’re humbled that they chose to step up and do this with us. And most of all, we’re grateful that the people helping us build this thing are people we’ve been lucky enough to call friends for years.

To Ryan, Matt, and Lance: thank you. We love you guys, we appreciate you, and we have nothing but respect for the work you put in. We’re damn lucky to have you.

Here’s to whatever comes next. ❤️ by @fuzzstration

Life hack: always go to the show…

Years ago I watched a stranger, now long time friend, @delafayemusic_ perform at @thezanzabar while I was only dreaming of playing there one day. We hit it off and he later got me on my first bill at the highly sought after venue. (I made the flyer out of a Lucky Strikes cigarette ad, 3rd slide)

I’ve met several musical heroes, long time friends, seen couples get together and end up married, proposals, pretty sure a baby get delivered and definitely a few conceived at shows over the years.

Going to shows from Louisville to Cumberland Gap was an important stop for learning how music worked, no one taught me or helped me until I helped myself and got out there to learn.

Imagine if I had decided to spend that 15 dollar cover on beer instead of inside access to the beating heart of Kentucky music and a blueprint that I would use for the next decade as a songwriter, musician and manager.

@nivassoc said live entertainment generated $577 million in economic output and $300 million in state GDP, supporting over 51,000 jobs in KY alone.

If that didn’t sell you then just think of my smiling face when you through that door at @thezanzabar November 12th with my good friends @elementsofsoundmusic @fuzzstration and @delafayemusic_ in Louisville, KY for the “9 Kinds of Blue” album release show.

Don’t forget about the NASHVILLE release November 14 at my favorite hardware and feed store, @joeltonhardware joined by one of my favorite people and songwriters @bradyevan22❗️
