ahh so much i could say about this song and experience of really betting on myself and what makes me, “me.” i’ve always loved producing for myself and having such a big hand in my sound but usually collaborated w one other person (who is amazing and fantastically talented!). Faking! started off as me just kind of experimenting and trying to make something representative of my current tastes (underground, electronic, and experimental pop) and lifelong musical foundations (triphop, electronica, and sometimes goth music) but eventually snowballed into something i wanted to release. thank you so much to @jaxynlethe for mixing this song for me and putting up w my nitpickiness, i appreciate how thoroughly you brought everything together. thank you so much to @poormegz for bringing this song (and video, coming monday!) to life for me. and thank you to @junglefone_studios and @rainasfuneral for allowing me to capture my vision in your beautifully curated space. i didn’t mean to set out to make anything so soon after Colada… but when the muse strikes 🎭!
