I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that you’re gone. Losing my uncle Brandon A. Blount hurts in a way I don’t even have words for yet.

You weren’t just my uncle. You were my mentor, my friend, my safe place when life got heavy. You were a dance coach who poured into so many people, pushing us to be better, sharper, stronger—on and off the floor. You believed in me, even when I didn’t always believe in myself.

You let me sleep on your couch. You showed up. You listened. You supported me in ways that went far beyond what most people ever do. You made space for me when I needed it most, and that’s something I will never forget.

Your impact is everywhere—in the people you taught, the lives you touched, the love you gave so freely. I’m grateful for every lesson, every laugh, every moment. But damn, this one hurts.
