NOT AI! I was at the Ritz Paris when the sky turned this shade of purple. We went into the hotel garden and somehow I managed to capture it on my old iPhone XS. Of course in real life it was even more surreal and enveloped us alongside the buildings. I have only seen the sky do this in Paris but I don’t get around a lot.

This is the tenth year anniversary of running my Paris tours so I’m going to be posting whatever I feel like from that time. Probably a lot of exhibition photos, a ton of gorgeous city views and from special things we got to do over these crazy 10 years.

These images are from our tour of the Christian Dior exhibition at the Musèes des arts Décoratifs in 2017. THE Dior exhibition from whence the scenography of the Galerie Dior was first created. This is still the biggest fashion exhibition I think anywhere with literally thousands of people every day going through, and featured the 70 years of design at the house.

We had the tour booked right when they opened and we actually got to go through the first bit with no one else there as we arrived early! I didn’t get a ton of my own photos because I had a photographer with me (his images are the ones at the end) and I was trying to be in the moment and actually experience it myself. So hard to do now in the age of social media.

These are some of favourites and you’ll notice a preponderance of RAF Simons because he is still my favourite don’t @ me! The first with the Sterling Ruby paintings need an entire post of their own but I’m still obsessed with them. The dress to the right on the page with his photo is all patterned from feathers and I had happened to see the sample of it at the Lemarié archive not a year later. Not to mention my favourite version of the bar Jacket, that red coat also by Simons. And every Dior exhibition has to end with the masked ball, of which Dior was totally enamoured with.

Louvre Couture! I will pay you €100 euros* if you can see everything in one go without a guide because it is an enormous exhibition in one of the most sumptuous (and gigantic) wings of the Louvre (the Richelieu).

I spent about 2 hours making a highlight for you with more and some of my thoughts but this reel is kind of how it felt to see it twice and then so many more times through my screen.

I was invited to attend the press viewing for the new exhibition, Worth, at the @petitpalais_musee in collaboration with @palaisgallieramuseedelamode and it was absolutely gorgeous!

Charles Worth is not only the father of haute couture but is also the originator of many fashion industry practices still in use today like using models to show his clothes. He dressed the most important and wealthy women of the Belle Époque and was an integral part of their daily lives, which required many changes of clothes each day.
