Taking a day to dance in the park with the wife @_kumaofficial_ after the first official airing from our historic 10-year agreement with PBS/GPB was huge. It’s always good to return back to the basics and keep your connection with your passion on any level.

She always has the best playlist for outside-the-box thinking and movement—and no, I’d never heard the song she played before this moment. 🎶✨

When we faced sudden, intense adversity trying to secure a location for our landmark 39th Cypher—driven by coordinated attempts from certain elements in the community to block people from attending during our filming process—history didn't stop. It accelerated.

Those attempts to shut us down backfired completely. Instead of breaking the movement, that friction perfectly canonized the exact systemic indifference and gatekeeping we have faced for years—the very struggles documented on screen in our film.

By opening their executive atrium to the WeOnFyre Cypher, Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) proved that this alliance between public media and a grassroots cultural movement was far more than a cinematic moment. It was a deeply symbolic, organic development.
