i said goodbye to ford today. i love this little creature so much. he was like a weird, cryptid style thing that i washed in a foot bath. i rehoused him after a mother of 6 overheard me talking about how i thought bearded dragons were neat and asked if i could take ‘pablo escabar’ off her hands.

bearded dragons don’t show or receive love very easily or very noticeably, and have a similar care routine to a fish. he’s been a part of my life for four years now. many of you have met him , and picked him up and said something to the effect of ‘this thing feels really weird’ and ‘i’d like to give him back now please’. he’s cute to me. he shits on the floor and the worms he eats have a strong odor. i once had to pull fake leaves out of his stomach. every cat that has ever lived in my apartment has been obsessed with him. the last 4 slides are pictures of different cats that have snuck into my room to hang out with him. i loved him very very much.

australia’s strict biodiversity laws means that ford is not allowed to come with us and is going to be rehoused again. my heart broke today giving him away. i will miss him very dearly. good bye ford. enjoy the bugs by @g.hac
