My 🚘 got towed in Toronto around 7:00am that morning, My coins were just about depleted, I had no cellular apparatus to reach out to anyone for help 😒 Im sore AF on stage from walking for 7 hrs in the cold rain to get my car out of the impound lot downtown toronto.....The reactions & love from the crowd, judges & O.Gs were well worth the struggle I indored that day. A memorable experience: At Mo's Grandmother's residence on Midland Ave in EO, we had limited resources, with only the demo version of Fruity Loops and either Cool Edit or Sound Forge to manipulate samples. By the time I arrived, Mo had already completed 2-3 high-energy Jersey Club tracks and was working on another. I waited anxiously in the basement kitchen to take over the computer and create some Jersey Club bangers myself. Later, when Mo took a nap, I started working on a track using 'Clockwork' from Juelz Santana's album 'What the Game's Been Missing'. As I prepared to finalize the track around 5-6 am, the computer crashed which was common, causing frustration and exhaustion. I ended up remaking the track by staying awake for another 4 hrs that featured on the Curtis Mixtape by Tameil Paynes DeeJay Tim Dolla 👑🕊️👑 🫡🫡🫡 These memories/moments are unforgettable because so much went into producing Jersey Club on a low memory old computer with a demo version of Fruityloop's which had to constantly be reloaded daily with our drum packs and samples folders just to get started 🫨...Yes, it was time consuming and many times frustrating dealing with technological issues but it was well worth it in the end when you see how impactful the music is still in 2026 #jerseyclub #gems #flstudio # by @g0ldrush1133

#JerseyClub101 : As a collective, the individuals in Envy all had an affinity for music, especially music from the past, which was probably our biggest bonding tool. Due to our upbringing and access to certain resources, we had advantages others didn’t, like advanced music libraries, allowing us to practice and create within different energies. This ultimately made us stand out during shows and battles. @digg_wild_sef #jerseyclub style in this video perfectly reflects our intense, no-holds-barred practice sessions in the early 2000’s. The music was more masculine, fostering harder, more precise movements—today there is a more faster, giddy, jump-around approach to the music and dancing. Dancers like Yusef can blend both energies well, but make no mistake, Envy is undoubtedly the foundation of the #Jerseyclub dance style. Chicago ghetto style music and Baltimore club music were also motivations for us back then. I remember seeing @itsj_sharif rock to “the pressure cooker” on a Hi-8 video for the first time, catching all the sound effects. That’s why I don’t leave out Baltimore or Chicago; we danced to their music too, to sharpen our skills. Some might wonder what all of this has to do with the present. We were, and still are, the most successful independent dance group to ever come out of New Jersey. We pioneered what most are capable of doing today in the digital space, and that in itself is history that should be respected. As I’m continued to be book to teach jersey club, I don’t take for granted the experiences and opportunities I actually have to give valuable information that could possibly inspire the next dancer’s successful journey. by @g0ldrush1133

🏫I had to return to my roots, to the place where my journey began, where my dreams took shape, and where my passion for music and dance originated. This place is dear to me, and I knew I had to come back to rediscover more of myself and my purpose within the culture I grew up in. I wanted to relive the memories and experiences I had here and see how much I've grown since I left. This place is like a second home to me, and I knew coming back here would be the perfect opportunity to reconnect with my past and move forward in my journey. by @g0ldrush1133
