Turns out you get less for your money these days even with tyres. Doing a PDI on a new Merc GLS and was curious to see what tread depth these Continentals have when new, 6mm for a massive SUV tyre. According to Mercedes recommendations, the tyres they supply on their new vehicles are 31% worn before you even drive it off the forecourt, great value for money 🤣

Was good to meet up with @clearviewminidipstick at Brands Hatch. Grabbed one for mine, so much easier to read than the standard one. Available in various colours, the green wasn’t quite the same so went for an orange one which i think goes well. Get yourself one, your oil level may not be quite where you think it is. Use my code RETROMINI20 for 20% off one of these simple but essential mods!

My first Mini memories are of my Mums old 1974 1000. Think she had it around 1981 when I was 4. It had minimal miles on it, and can clearly remember my Dad fitting Britax rear seat belts, the Cosmic wheels and stainless arches 👌

In March i will have had this 7 years, the longest i have owned a car, its come a long way since i bought it, and well known enough now that nobody will copy it! Proud to have built something that so many love, even driving away from Minifest i heard someone say “that car is so clean”. The Mini community is a great bunch, apart from the odd classic Mini snob 😂, and being part of the best Mini club, @southeastminiowners makes it even better. Will miss the show scene but winter is a good opportunity to get those little jobs done before the next season starts. Roll on 2027 and Brooklands Mini Day 🫡

Quick clean for #brandshatch #minifest tomorrow, wasn’t really that bad thanks to the last show that was local. Turned round for a quiet early exit in the morning, if you are with @southeastminiowners and meeting at Pembury Tesco, ill see you there 😊

Absolutely gutted that @b_road_atthe_stag has closed its doors for the final time. Such a great place to get away from things, see your mates and enjoy some quality food. Really hope there will be a new chapter to @b_roadhuntingclub soon. Best wishes to @rog_gr_ay and the B Road team in whatever they do next.

Absolutely exhausted after Beaulieu Mini Day, tried to get around most of the cars on display, there will be a walk around video up on my YouTube channel shortly. A great day out with a massive thanks to @f56_tws and @southeastminiowners for organising our display 👍
