Immigrant families get to have food on the table thanks to the collective love of people in Minnesota who are volunteering, donating, packing, driving, delivering for those who are scared to leave their homes who are being oppressed/persecuted by the government. It takes a village and DHH is leading the way.

“No, we’re the best.”

@_tommy_schweinitz_ reminds us that we’re a team playing this game together. I can’t help but admire our star player bearing the unfair brunt of it all. My only hope is to be a reliable teammate.

This week, it meant getting a good night’s sleep at home and a morning run to get my act back together. All I want to do is make this easier for him, but it’s not always possible. I really struggle with that. As usual, he shows us that he can do the hard things with a solid squad around him.

One of his residents this week said “it was really a pleasure to take care of you.” I couldn’t agree more.
