We lost a true man of integrity who lived with intention, building and encouraging all he met to be the best version of themselves. Dr. Bernard LaFayette Jr helped train me in Dr. King's philosophy and methodology of Nonviolence. From him I learned to compromise time lines and schedules, never my principles and so much more. He has been made eternal now and man did he leave a deep footprint in life. The lives he touched around the world is what we all should aspire to duplicate. Rest in power 'Doc', your work will continue. 💔🙏🏼 by @g_alph86

My mom (dark jacket) and her siblings. Her only sister Yvonne went to be with the Lord yesterday. Now she's with both her brothers and her mother. Aunt Yvonne would always tell me she was 'fine fine' when I called and asked how she was doing. Well auntie, I'm not so 'fine fine' right now but I'll get it together knowing you are with Grandma and your brothers. I will see all of you again. Until then, give em' all a big kiss and hug for me. ❤️❤️💔😢 by @g_alph86

I'm here taking my temperature emotionally as I complete the last minutes of this lap b4 hitting 60. Wow 60! Happy Birthday to me!

I'm all over the board reflecting and I'm coming up with multiple emotions, gratitude, pride, nostalgia, joy, contentment, thankfulness and plenty of hope for the future.

I'm good overall with it. Jeannette once said, "if you're born, you're blessed to be young but everyone isn't blessed to be older". Amen 🙌🏼✨🎉 by @g_alph86

It's back to reality but man what a trip! I've learned it's never completely about the destination. There are plenty of hidden gems in the journey. #halfmooncay #nassaubahamas Bahamas by @g_alph86
