One year ago today, we hugged Reece goodbye as he left to serve the people of St. Louis. Somehow, that first year has already come and gone. While we miss him every day, there is so much joy in watching him become the young man and missionary he has always hoped to be.

One of the things we love most about Reece is that he has always been genuinely positive. No matter where he is or what challenges come his way, he chooses to find the good. That same attitude has blessed his mission as he has served as a leader, loved each of his companions, and cared deeply for every person he meets.

He has especially loved serving in the YSA wards and has cherished the opportunity to minister to people in both Mandarin and English. It has been incredible to watch him use his talents, build meaningful relationships, and share the gospel with people from so many different backgrounds.

We are so proud of the young man he is becoming. His emails and our sometimes chaotic weekly conversations reflect a growing testimony, a love for the Savior, and a sincere desire to serve others. We know he will continue to give everything he has to the Lord’s work during the year ahead, just as he has during this first year.

Split, Croatia 🇭🇷 Our first few days have been full of much needed time away, sunshine, city strolls, a national park visit to KRKA and a little history lesson along the way. We’ve loved reconnecting with ‘old’ friends, making new ones, indulging in the most amazing food (and way too much gelato 🍨), and soaking in every bit of culture this beautiful place has to offer.
