TYJ for the sweet blessings this summer!

This summer, I’ve learned so many things that have opened my eyes, changed my perspective, and brought me closer to God. Here are three of the biggest lessons I feel like He’s taught me…

1.)God taught me to see Him in creation. I think I became more appreciative of nature this summer. There’s something about being outside, seeing the sky change colors, looking at flowers, feeling the breeze or just sitting somewhere peaceful that makes me think about how intentional God is. It reminds me that He created all of this and still chose to create me too. That makes me feel really small but in the best way.

2.)God taught me that my worth doesn’t come from other people. I don’t need everyone to like me. I don’t need to constantly compare myself to other girls or wonder if I’m enough. My value isn’t determined by how I look, how many friends I have, what people say about me, or whether someone chooses me. God already chose me, loves me, and knows me completely.

3.) God taught me to be grateful for the season I’m in. I don’t want to spend my life wishing I was older, wishing I had something different, or waiting for the next exciting thing. I want to appreciate being exactly where I am right now. I’m only going to be this version of myself once, with these friends, in this season, making these memories.

More than anything I think God taught me that this summer wasn’t just about the memories I made it was about the person I was becoming. He used the people I loved, the moments I’ll never forget, the things that didn’t go how I wanted and even the quiet moments to bring me closer to Him. Going into this new chapter and school year I hope I don’t just remember how much fun I had. I hope I remember how much God was teaching me, how much He was growing me and how present He was through it all!! So so forever grateful for the best Father ever🙃 by @gabb.yy07

Oh hallelujah I’ve been washed!!!🙌📖✝️ This week reminded me that true joy isn’t found in perfect circumstances but in Christ. Philippians taught me to be content in every season, to choose humility, and to trust that God is faithfully working in my life. Summer camp never fails to give me memories I’ll treasure forever but even more than that, it gave me a deeper relationship with Jesus. I’m so grateful for every conversation, every worship night, and every person God placed in my path. Leaving with a full heart, stronger faith, and the reminder that “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” BOOM taken in Highland Lakes Camp & Conference Center by @gabb.yy07
