Well it happened….my son, who is the biggest chunk of my heart, has gone off to college. I foolishly thought it wouldn’t be THAT hard, but turns out I’m am idiot. I’d have sooner removed a limb than said goodbye. Thankfully directly after, some amazing humans took me on a pack trip. It’s amazing how hauling a horse across multiple states distracts you….I finally ended up in Montana and into The Bob Marshall Wilderness. It was just what my dissected heart needed. All my love to Lange, Moon, Courtney, Doog & Francesca (& always Mark for fort holding). If you’re going through a tough transition there is nothing like nature to straighten your bent psyche. & shout out to PatnDeb Puckett for being the 🧲 that collects fine folks from all points near & far.
