Approaching one year of sobriety and all I can say is ALL GLORY TO GOD 🙌🏻✝️🔥

For the longest time I struggled with alcohol. I couldn’t control myself when I would drink and the alcohol controlled me. There was never “just one drink tonight” 90 percent of the time I was getting as drunk as my body would let me until I was at the point of blacking out. Alcohol was my idol, my scapegoat, a way for me to temporarily block out what I was dealing with internally.

And then… I truly found JESUS and developed a relationship with Him!! He is what I needed to turn to. If you would’ve asked me a year ago, I would have probably laughed in your face if you told me I’d be one year sober, but the Lord has done such amazing things in my life. He has shown me that turning to Him is the ultimate fulfillment and I am so so blessed and thankful for what He has done for me. He has led me in so many ways over the past year and has provided me with community that I had been seeking for so so long.

He loves us regardless of our past and all He asks is that we lay it down and just give it to Him. He loves you so much!! by @gabbi_heath
