My dad passed away two weeks ago after nearly 20 years with Parkinson’s disease. 🖤

I grew up with a dad who was my biggest fan. Cheering loudly for me on the sidelines, taking me to the library for story time, chaperoning every school field trip. He made me feel like I could do anything.

My dad led by example — not just through his big leadership roles but through small interactions every day. He loved baseball and jazz music and got as much joy (if not more) out of sharing his passions than experiencing them himself.

In his eulogy, I shared that one of my dad’s favorite sayings was “it’s not the end of the world.” He had this optimistic, can-do attitude, and whenever something seemed insurmountable, he would say those words — reminding me that whatever the challenge, we’d figure it out together. Dad, in many ways, this does feel like the end of the world. But I know that’s not what you’d want us to feel. You’d want us to keep living, loving, and giving back. ♥️🌎 I love you. by @gabbibaker

There is nothing that makes me more hopeful for the future than being surrounded by 3,700+ Jewish teens at @bbyoinsider International Convention. Each year’s incredible speakers, performers, sessions, and experience tops the last.

As part of the centennial celebration, we launched the first ever BBYO Alumni Association, which meant I got to reunite with some of the friends who made my teen experience so meaningful.

Happy birthday to the friend who often knows me better than I know myself. ❤️ While we aren't celebrating on a boat on the Amalfi coast (!), I'm grateful for the long walk-and-talks, the post-therapy therapy sessions, and the mutual support of questionable dessert decisions. May your next year and new decade be filled with Elliot Stabler returning to TV, lots of @bakedandwireddc, and a Joe Biden presidency. 🇺🇸 #GOTV by @gabbibaker

As you correctly said this morning, *every* day is mother's day, but I'll still take any excuse to celebrate YOU. Thank you for making me laugh, giving me advice, worrying about me, and being there to Skype at all hours, even if we've run out of things to say to each other. I miss and love you and can't wait to be together again soon! by @gabbibaker

It feels like a strange time to be sharing *personal news* but today was my last day at @ogilvy. There are no words to describe how much I’ve learned and grown in nearly seven (!) years — and I can credit so many people with helping shape my experience. (Way more than Instagram will allow me to tag, sorry!)
