POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I was honoured to be able to present "Consider the Birds" in @metadanceco Metamorphosis Dance Company's "Illumination" this past April.

This piece will forever be dear to my heart: a prayer for our Palestinian brothers and sisters, and an invitation to us all to consider the people we tend to overlook.

Thank you to Nancy, Bridgette and Terry, for the opportunity to wrestle with this piece once more and put it on stage among such a vibrant programme!

Thank you to these young, skilled dancers of Metamorphosis, for being open and committed, and bringing the dance to life.

Thank you to the casts of the 2024 and 2025 iterations of "Consider the Birds." Thank you for being a part of this (still-) evolving work.

Thank you to Dave Williams and Advance Dynamics for helping create such stirring background visuals for the piece.

And thank you @saxlazarus and @rahilacoats for creating this incredible music for the dance.

Find the full dance in my link in bio!

Dear Chadae,

Thank you for living in hope, submitting to the process, and embodying what it means to overcome by 'the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony.' Happy birthday. Thank you for giving me the honour of helping you tell your story.

Love and admire you always,
Gabby

If you're an improving dancer looking for a good push in the right direction, you're in the right place. If you're an advanced dancer looking for a new challenge, you're in the right place. Because, ¡¿por qué no los todos?!

Fagan Technique classes are on, Fridays 6:30-8pm at SAPA until March 27th.

I'll push you, and I'll laugh with you at the same time. It's fun I promise!

ALSO, FOLLOW @striveamadi.move ok?!

I'm teaching Intro to Fagan Technique classes on Fridays 6:30-8pm at SAPA until December 12th (no class Nov 7th)!

❓️What is Fagan Technique? Fagan Technique = the precision of ballet + the experimentation of post-modernism + the groundedness of Modern dance + the vitality of Afro-Caribbean dance to create a unique and powerful mode of movement.

🧠Developed by Garth Fagan, practiced by @garthfagandancecompany

💪🏾Consistent training in Fagan Technique has helped me develop the proprioception, the flexibility, the strength, the musicality, the stamina and the SURPRISE! I value in my dance practice now. It's the technique that shapes my movement and choreography. It's the technique I still use to help continuously improve my dancing

And it's the technique I'm sharing with you all!

If you want detailed, challenging, focused training that takes your dancing to another level, join me. Let's work together! by @gabbyerryday

@caricomorg has still not responded to our asks. To our leaders and the CARICOM, will you consider the birds? Will you respond to what the majority of Caribbean people are asking?

"Whatever we allow for Gaza, we allow for ourselves...if we let Gaza die, we sanction death here, too." Powerful words and article by @gabbyerryday.

Thank you @ttnewsday and @middleeastmonitor for publishing this!

Life these days is a lot of, "Maybe I don't know."

I'm working on the "Maybe that's okay" part,

And determining to name again, the things I know for sure.

So help me, God.
