Thanking and praising Jesus for the amazing miracle that’s been growing for the past five months! Our little rainbow baby girl arriving early spring 2027 🩷🌈
-
We are beyond overjoyed and feel so grateful that God chose us as this little girl’s parents and that He has entrusted us with what we feel to be such a tender yet powerful story of His redemption and nearness in suffering.

In the first half of this year, we were met with the unimaginable grief that comes with the loss of life. Yet in the aftermath of our miscarriage, by God’s grace our faith was strengthened and we felt the Lord’s nearness in the midst of our brokenness like never before. Not by our own might, but we can confidently say that the Lord carried us through the pain and we were ready to trust Him with our story and journey to parenthood, no matter what that looked like. He taught us that our faith isn’t based on the outcomes, but in who He is. Not putting our trust in the healing, but in the Healer. Not in our version of redemption, but in Him alone as Redeemer. His mercy and goodness has been following our family this whole time.

In the weeks that followed, we encountered His tangible faithfulness that allowed us to have such deep, intimate fellowship with Jesus in the wake of loss, death, and heartache. As hard as those moments were, we are so grateful for how the Lord comforted us, revealed His goodness, and purified our hearts (and still is).

Little did we know that we would be blessed with new life just shortly after! We don’t know why things happen the way they do and why everyone’s stories are different, but what we do know is that our hearts are so tender to the fragility of life and sensitive to how the journey to parenthood can come with so many complex emotions. We are still navigating waves of grief and fear while also embracing joy and new life. Sorrow and joy can coexist, and neither cancels out the other.

In it all, we are confident that God is faithful and the hope of Jesus through His very own death and resurrection gives us the ability to face anything, knowing that He has redeemed, is redeeming, and will redeem all things 🕊️ taken in Kauai, Hawaii by @gabbymstratton

friends & family,

i am rallying everyone i know to please join me in prayer + intercession over my sister, Danielle, who has been courageously battling Lyme disease — a complex and debilitating bacterial infection that has deeply affected her health and daily life. after years (over half her life) of symptoms, misdiagnoses, and chronic pain, recent extensive lab testing has revealed that my sister has a myriad of bacterial infections, viruses, parasites, mold, and erythromelalgia, including the diagnosis she received in April 2025 of late-stage Lyme disease.

due to her Lyme disease being in late-stage, her immune system is severely compromised. as a result, typical antibiotic treatments that may work for others are not effective on Danielle. this has caused my sister constant pain and has made her unable to work, drive, or leave the house except for medical appointments.

in the midst of the immense physical and emotional challenges she has faced and is currently facing with her health, Danielle is finally on the path to proper treatment. we are rallying our family, friends, and community to pray fervently for Danielle‘s full healing.

in addition to your prayers, we are also inviting you to support Danielle financially as she faces mounting medical bills from numerous and ongoing doctor visits, lab testing, treatments, and therapies — all essential to her healing journey. as you can imagine, the cost of care for Lyme disease is overwhelming and often not covered by insurance.

despite this heavy burden, Danielle remains hopeful and determined to reclaim her health and life. as her sister, i want nothing more than to see her thrive again — mind, body, spirit, and soul.

In May, Matt and I got the absolute best news of our lives—we were pregnant with the child we prayed for and dreamed of long before our baby was even conceived! We had a deep, unshakeable sense that our first child was a baby girl. We already had a couple girl names picked out, but just a few days after finding out I was pregnant, we landed on her name. However, just as quickly as we found there was life growing inside of me, we experienced the unimaginable pain of finding out that we were never going to meet our baby girl this side of eternity. Our girl was birthed into Heaven and the first person she saw was our Jesus.

Lily Joy - Her name represents her original design of purity, beauty, humility, and joy. The Lord so kindly confirmed her name in miraculous ways—one of those ways being my mom being led by the Holy Spirit to get me lily flowers the day we found out we lost our baby, although at the time she didn’t know why she was led to those particular flowers. We later also found out that the birth flower for May is Lily of the Valley. In the short time that I knew I was pregnant, the Lord was so clearly speaking “joy” over me and our baby, and that this journey would be marked by the “oil of gladness.” Little did we know how desperately we needed that word of the Lord for the days to come.

God is so intentional and sovereign, and He knew the exact time and season that Lily Joy was to be conceived and enter into His arms. Psalm 139:16 - “Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in Your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”

The month of May changed our lives forever. There are no words, no platitudes, no niceties that can lessen the grief and pain of losing a child. But we have personally experienced the provision of God in all of it.

Matthew 6:28-29 - “Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.”

I get misty-eyed when I think about how in many ways, I am currently living in what I’ll one day call “the good old days.” Life lately has consisted of enjoying being young marrieds, living in a quaint little home that’s just a 5-minute walk from the beach, having our dream puppy, working in a preschool and having fun with kids all day, hosting community, and building + dreaming for the future. Thanking + praising God for this sweet season of life that I’ve always prayed for, while also believing the best is yet to come and praying Psalm 90:12 - “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” 🤍 taken in Huntington Beach, California by @gabbymstratton

It’s November, but I’m reminiscing on this summer in California :’) Social media can be so manufactured, but these summer archives mean so much more to me than a highlight reel—they show me that even in the midst of grief, the Lord was so faithful to show me beauty. His mercy truly waits at every end. taken in California by @gabbymstratton

it’s my husband’s 25th birthday today! 🎉

matthew jeremiah, what a JOY it’s been to grow up with you since we were 15 years old & to see where we’re at now, ten years later! God is so faithful.

i can’t believe i have the honor of being your wife, helper, & best friend, & that i get to partner with you & Jesus in seeing you walk out God’s call on your life in obedience + gladness.

you have a way of bringing out the creativity, childlikeness, & hidden gold in people’s hearts & making everyone around you feel 10x better than how they did before.

your faith in who God is + what He can do despite seemingly impossible circumstances continues to challenge, convict, inspire, & build me up + those around you everyday.

you’re the type of person who goes the extra mile to make sure someone feels seen, understood, & loved. none of it is an inconvenience to you.

you’re never not encouraging someone, cracking jokes, lighting up a room, talking about Jesus, breaking out into song, or going above & beyond to pursue me. you are golden retriever energy personified ;)

all of these qualities–and so many more–are what i’m treasuring in my heart today & everyday.

life with you is never dull & i’m so grateful to be by your side on your 25th year of life + many more years to come! i’m incredibly proud of you. cheers to 25, my love! 🥳🕺🏼

Today marks 1 year of being married to my best friend @matthewjstratton 🤍

Feeling especially overwhelmed today with gratitude for our story and the way God has redeemed, restored, and revealed Himself as faithful time and time again throughout the years.

If you would have told fifteen-year-old me that the boy she met in church youth group in summer of 2016 would become her husband nearly 10 years later, I would have never believed you. Nineteen-year-old me would be astounded if you told her that God would redeem her deepest heartbreak in ways far beyond what she could ever ask or imagine. He truly speaks a better word and authors the most beautiful stories.

What I told the Lord in 2018 still remains true today—that whoever ends up marrying Matt would truly be the luckiest girl in the world. Little did I know that I was that girl, ha!

I love you forever, Matthew Jeremiah. It’s my joy and delight to be your bride. Cheers to one year of covenant! 🕊️ by @gabbymstratton

He is worthy, worthy, worthy.

These are the words that echo through my mind after the past few days in Dallas, TX with @upperroomm @upperroomdallas at EOY—and more than anything, these are the words that I pray my heart cries out for every single day for the rest of my life.

He is truly the most beautiful. Feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for the finished work of the cross and His perfect blood, and the opportunity to revel in that truth with the best people for the past 4 days as we ended 2024 + began 2025.

Thank you, Jesus 🕊️

big fan of tote bags, & an even bigger fan of @fightthenewdrug!

porn is the 3rd most common form of sex trafficking according to cases reported to the National Human Trafficking Hotline. i’m honored to join @fightthenewdrug this month as they raise awareness surrounding the reality that porn fuels the demand for exploitation, sex trafficking, objectification, sexualized racism, nonconsensual content, sexual violence + abuse, & child sexual abuse.

with porn being as pervasive as it is, along with the harm it brings to both the consumer + the ones being exploited, it’s time we start being even more pervasive with the message of freedom, healing, honor, & respect for all.

if you need help or want resources to equip you in stopping the demand, visit ftnd.org/stop 🩵
