What a weekend competing at the @rainierclassic for the 2nd year in a row. I’m a bit at loss for words this time around as a LOT has changed in a short time. In short, I want to thank everyone who stuck behind me getting to this point and for all the guys out there pushing me to fight as hard as I had to. Congrats @frboniello for the pro card! And for chipping me on a deadlift event! 🤣 Gotta give the biggest credit for keeping me together and dealing with my cranky cuts. My wife, my best friend and my love, @__lydiadeal__ ! Believing in me, especially when I don’t. Huge shout out to @alecjose for a pretty fast turn around over the past 6 months, especially with a pretty debilitating ankle injury keeping us behind for about 3 of those months! Still got work to do, but I’m excited for the next step! Huge shout out to @jeremy_atlas_strong with @reforgedstrength for his knowledge and help with my cut and refeed. It was the easiest and smoothest cut I’ve had to date. He even gave me a meal the night before weigh ins! 🤪Thank you to all the volunteers, @lucas.hatton, @21stcenturysamson and the @dungeonstrength_rx crew for their hard work putting this on year after year. Another great one! Shout out to @prostrongmanleague for the invite out of the weight classes at this show! I love seeing the collaboration within the sport! Can’t wait to fight it out next year! To say this weekend was unbelievable would be putting it lightly… The @olympiccityproam was an absolute blast and my best showing to date. Coming into this show, we had come up with a strategy in order to have the best show I was capable of. I stuck to the plan and let the chips fall where they would. That plan was enough to for the National RAW deadlift record, but also the win and earning my @strongmancorporation 105 pro card and an invite to @americasstrongest I am thrilled to see where this next door of my journey leads. Congrats to @premeditatedmovement and @ejharrelson for the tough battle and their well earned podium finish. A huge thank you to @chadcoy55 and @stevenfotion for their amazing work judging this show! It was an honor and a privilege to compete for the two of you and to show what I was capable of! Shout out to @strongman_brando and @sunshine_the_strongwoman for hosting the show and bringing this opportunity to the area. To @alabamastrongman for traveling so far to host the show’s livestream. Allowing much of my family to tune in. To @legendofmarc for being the best hype man on the livestream all day! Big final event win 🥇 of the 2026 @rainierclassic to cap off an otherwise great show and return from injury! Training this was event is always a challenge without the actual stones to practice on. So we relied on grit and determination to put the exclamation mark on the day. I had to include @alecjose commentary for this! We didn’t really get to strategize this event as much as others, I was supremely confident in my ability here, but I think I stressed him out a bit! I figured let the unedited video speak for itself. Speed has been a work in progress in the carry events following last year. Especially following a broken ankle in January. Going into the @rainierclassic mystery event, we had a plan, executed the plan, and sat on top 🥇. @d.bstrength gave me a blistering target to keep up with! Thanks for the huge push! Those of you who know me, know that the Circus Dumbbell is one I’ve had to work A LOT on. Up to this point I had only managed a 180# lift in contest once. So this event could have been make or break for the entire show @rainierclassic I opened with 220 with how well this went in training and warm ups, but call it contest jitters… tried it twice but it wasn’t quite there on the floor. So I dropped down to the 200 and was able to secure 2 halfway decent reps to secure 2nd place🥈on my all time worst event. 2nd place 🥈 in a bag throw?! Yepp. This event didn’t quite go as planned. Normally, I would have ripped the final 55# bag from the starting line, but the small tweak in my hip on event 2 was still in my head. Did what I needed to in order to finish the event but that small mistake cost me the 1 second I needed for the win and the sub 15s goal I had. Next time, we will fly. That’s a whole ass truck! Thank you @burienchevrolet and @rainierclassic make this head to head event happen! Had a small foot placement error that caused a tweak in my hip for the 2nd half of this event, but was still able to pull away with third place🥉with 17 reps. Love so good made it on the livestream 🤍 Big guy came with things to prove and he left no doubt in anyone’s mind this time (I never had a doubt, always his biggest fan). New coach, new training, new mindset and it all paid off. Glad he has more people in his corner who believe in him this time around (I’m looking at you Alec), welcome to the Gabe Deal fan club. My cheers, screaming and losing my mind is all for him, always will be. I don’t care who hears, who judges, who loves it or who hates it. My husband loves it and that is who I do it for.
