CHILDREN’S BOOK ILLUSTRATION FAQ 🖍️

My first DTIYS! 🎃

I’ve wanted to host one for a while, and after visiting a pumpkin festival recently, I came home wanting to draw ALL the pumpkins. Soooooo here we are 🎃

Draw my little pumpkin gardener in your style!

Feel free to change the colors, clothes, composition, season: anything you want. And here’s a little extra challenge: add one tiny detail of your own to the garden. A new vegetable, an animal, a funny object, whateeeeever you think belongs in his world.

To participate:
1. Draw it in your style
2. Tag @gabeartsy
3. Use #dtiysgabeartsy
4. Add my original as the second slide

There’s no deadline, I just want this to be fun. I’ll share your versions in my stories 🎃✨

I’m VERY curious to see what you decide to add to his garden!

Whose picture is better? by @gabeartsy

I’m so happy to share that Mum… Come Look! There’s a Chicken in Our Driveway!, a children’s picture book I had the pleasure of illustrating, is now available for pre-order!

It has been such a special journey bringing Roxy’s story and these adorable characters to life. Seeing this book become a reality makes me so happy!

I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve created together, and I can’t wait for little readers to meet Rocky!

Pre-orders are now open on Roxy’s website! Go show this lovely book some love! ❤️

A little peek at my art desk ✨

Full of art supplies, books, inspiration, and little things that make me happy.

What’s on your desk? 👀

And even if I had all the money in the world, I’d still keep doing this 💛

These little characters were supposed to become part of a children’s book, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out in the end.

I still really like them, though, and I didn’t want them to stay hidden in my iPad drafts forever. So I thought I’d share them here instead :)

Their names have been changed, but I think they still deserve their little moment 🐱💗

Meet Waffle! 🐾

The little main character of the book I’ve been working on lately and honestly, one of the most fun characters I’ve had the chance to draw.

Waffle is a happy, curious Frenchie who decides that his backyard simply isn’t enough, so he packs his suitcase and sets off to see the world! ✈️

I’ve been working on this book for the past few weeks, and I’m finally getting close to finishing it. So I think it’s time to properly introduce you to Waffle!

Can’t wait to share more of his BIG adventure with you 🧳🐾
