The Art of Movement and Music share a common essence: Time. What would movement be without connecting it to music? Together, they transcend and complement each other. When music notes and lines meet, a new language is born. In this 2D animation, made frame by frame, The invisible union is connected and explored. Both are born from rhythm, breathe in the interval, and exist in the passing. And in this connection, they reveal another way of feeling: where silence gains form and movement, voice. This year, I was invited to be part of @viennadesignweek , I made this short frame by frame animation and presented in @rado Store, was a FANTASTIC night! With plenty of joy, wine 🍷 and amazing people. So happy to be part of it. Danke @alexandra.brcknr !! 🫂 #viennadesignweek #animation #framebyframe #mozart #vienna taken in Vienna, Austria by @gabeschaue

SIM SIM, aconteceu!

[ENG]
‘Volta por Cima’ is the new 7pm soap opera on Globo. The plot revolves around a family in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro, where they experience turbulences caused by external factors in life, such as unexpected surprises, a competitive world and people trying to make a living through dishonesty. Volta por Cima tells stories of overcoming obstacles, people who work hard in life and manage to succeed with honesty.
Together with the ACACA studio and Globo, we developed an art direction that shows historical parts of Rio de Janeiro. Through warm colors and brushstrokes that simulate traditional painting, the goal was to joyfully show the warmth and colors of Brazil and the beauty in the simplicity of the daily details of a hard-working and charismatic people.

Some Steps from my last animation about the Wonders of the Sea 🌊 🧜‍♀️

Starting a new animation is always very exciting to me, after planning everything and putting the work , I realize : ‘’Holy Sh!*t I have to finish it’’ Sometimes for animators this can be ‘’’’’tough’’’’’

Something I’m always fascinated is about the Sea, I always lived by the ocean/beaches and enjoyed Sunny days between suncream and the sound of the waves. The funny part is people always think that folks who live on beach cities is almost every single day at the beach, and you realize this is nooooooooot exactly true.
I like chaotic characters too, on this one I started the same way as usual : I just go for it, I will figure out, my creativity will show me the next steps. I started with a single fish, and then a seashell came to my mind, and then a mermaid, and then a seahorse etc etc etc
No time for control here, and that’s is GREAT <3

Little by little, the picture became alive, and more and more alive , then colors, textures and after a few weeks <3 it was done <3

I like also to share my process as an animator, this part is very precious for us all. #animation #animation2d #sea #ocean #mermaid by @gabeschaue
