Happy Birthday Daddy! As much as I wish you were here something in me tells me that your soul is at peace and resting. No more putting everyone above you. You’re receiving all the love and care you deserve. The love I have for you will never die and I pray God’s Mercy allows our souls to align when I make it to Heaven! I’m still surviving but I promise I’ll be telling you one day I’m Thriving. Until then continue to visit me or show me signs I’m not alone. As I walk into my 4th Decade, I reflect on my last year in my 30’s. Whew year 39 you started with Grief as I loss two of my favorite cousins, one who was truly like my sister. But guess what I survived. I reclaimed what I earned 19 years ago being MERCILEΣΣ & rose into GOLDEN ΣucceΣΣ. & from this I gained so many more sisters I absolutely love & I know love and adore me. I had my very own version of Judas. For the first time in my life I loss a friendship. But then I realized it was necessary for Judas to betray Christ. So I embraced the betrayal as it turns out I needed it to happen to Love me even more. Guarding my Heart became a priority without losing my pure soul. Yet again I survived. I had to let go and send my first born to college. Realize I could no longer make decisions on her behalf because she said mom college is about me being an adult and figuring things out 🥹 CJ and I continue to be the best of friends. & I’m now a soccer and Baseball mom… yes I survived that 🤣 My friends close and far continue to pour into me through prayers, hard talks, laughter, and even tears (minimally 😂 cuz I don’t take much serious). I had a fun year and even though there were some unpleasant times; God truly blessed with me with the best of friends and Sorors. I had to trust God & give up what I absolutely love and it hurt. But my obedience has manifested blessings in my life. So I’m telling everyone to Trust God even if you think it might break your own heart. Yesterday, I graduated with my 2nd Master (MSW) I’ll be someone’s favorite therapist soon lol! I didn’t get the opportunity to celebrate myself because grief had overshadowed it. It was the first accomplishment I had & my daddy wasn’t in the crowd to cheer me on and that pain was deeply felt. But Again I survived! So needless to say my last year of my 30’s have been filled with ups and downs. Sadness and Happiness. Loss but also LOVE! Through it all, I am ALWAYS GRATEFUL 🥹 because I continue to Survive. If you know me or even a fraction of my life Resilience runs deep. So if you read all that 😂 wish me a 40th Happy Birthday 🎉🎁🎂🎊 by @gabfe

Dear Daughter, Wow you’re 18 years old and nothing short of God’s Grace. You changed my life and I will forever be grateful. You gave me the chance to the be the mother that I prayed for. You gave me the chance to indulge in so many childhood experiences that I missed. You reminded me that God is always on time and that a delay is never a denial. You’re a testimony that God still loves even when we aren’t obedient. You are UNCONDITIONAL love and LOVED. My prayer for you is that you understand as a parent it’s not about perfection but always know that we @22demise @773sushi_ did our best being young parents to give you the world. I pray that you never forget even when life gets tough to be GRATEFUL & remember that God will never leave nor forsake you. I pray that we have given you the tools to gracefully and boldly navigate this world.
