¿Es el sufrimiento la "voluntad" de un Dios de amor? 👇
Hoy escuché a alguien decir que el terremoto que cobró la vida de miles de personas en Venezuela fue "la voluntad de Dios". Confieso que escuchar cosas así me mueve el piso tanto como el propio sismo.

Frente a tragedias humanas de esta magnitud, es natural buscar respuestas, pero culpar a Dios de la devastación o ver los desastres naturales como un castigo divino es una respuesta que distorsiona su verdadera esencia.

Una perspectiva diferente:
Dios no envía la tragedia: Los terremotos son eventos geológicos, parte de la dinámica de nuestro planeta, no un dedo acusador desde el cielo.
¿Dónde está Dios en el dolor?: Dios no está en el epicentro causando el desastre; está en las manos de los rescatistas, en el consuelo de quienes lloran, en la solidaridad de los que ayudan y en la resiliencia de un pueblo que se levanta.
Su verdadera voluntad: La voluntad de Dios es la vida, la compasión, el amor mutuo y la reconstrucción, especialmente en medio del caos.

En lugar de teologías que juzgan y dividen, hoy necesitamos una fe que abrace, que consuele y que actúe.

Part 3 - Becoming an administrator to run @wholesomehavenseniorliving , and for that I had to head back to the classroom for an intensive 80-hour course.

It was a lot of coffee and a lot of Title 22 regulations, but the best part was honestly the people I met. @abundant.wellness.residence @day.inherlife @kevinleong_bnb @lindz1691 @iamoscarerazo I found a whole group of friends who are just as obsessed with changing senior care as I am.

Passed the state exam and I even put a series on YouTube to help anyone else trying to navigate the licensing maze. One giant hurdle down... next up? The house hunt. 🏡

Experts in care, beginners in business. 📚☕
When Breanne and I decided to start Wholesome Haven, we realized very quickly that passion wasn’t enough. We had to become students again.
We spent months:
✅ Scouring YouTube for "how-to" guides
✅ Analyzing the heavy financials of senior living
✅ Finding incredible mentors who didn't gatekeep their knowledge. Shout out to @borisvpalomino
And @theamandapalomino
We knew that to provide the best care in San Diego, we had to build the strongest foundation. It wasn't always pretty (there was a LOT of caffeine involved), but it was necessary.

The statistics are staggering: 10,000 people reach retirement age every day. But behind those numbers are mothers, fathers, and grandparents who deserve more than just a "facility."
After years of working as a Hospice Chaplain, I saw firsthand that our seniors needed more. They needed a haven that prioritized their dignity as much as their safety. That’s why my wife Breanne (an OT) and I decided to risk it all to open Wholesome Haven Senior Living here in San Diego.
