#TheCubanAuroraHunter – Hace algunos años, mi hermano @reyguerrajr y yo vimos la aurora boreal por primera vez, a los pies de una gran cascada en Islandia. Nos emocionamos, gritamos, llamamos a la familia. Nos acompañaba nuestra bandera, la misma que siempre viaja conmigo. Lo que no sabía era que aquella noche la aurora cambiaría todo para mí.

Desde entonces, cada invierno salgo en busca de las luces del norte. Y hoy puedo decir que mi profesión es encontrarla, ya no solo cada invierno, sino cada noche. Y la misma bandera que estuvo con nosotros en aquel primer encuentro hoy me acompaña de nuevo.

¡La vida regresa!

I am honored to say that I am a TIME artist!! ❤️🤯

Who would have thought that digital art would lead me to receive a call from Keith Grossman, president of TIME magazine, while having dinner in Havana—inviting me to be part of a group exhibition alongside 39 artists from around the world?

“Slices of Time” brings together incredible artists such as @jr, @coryvanlew, @dave.krugman, @driftershoots, @cloncast… and the list goes on! I must admit, my legs tremble a little when I see my name among them, and I still ask myself: How did all of this happen?

A little piece of Cuba will be present in TIME Magazine’s final exhibition—a work that blends multiple concepts from different stages of my career. It’s also the first time I’ve incorporated 3D into my work, thanks to the amazing @raulmunoz_designer! A fellow Cuban artist who will be sharing this incredible experience with me.

What a beautiful experience this exhibition at the Museo delle Culture Lugano turned out to be! We say goodbye with joy, grateful for the wonderful reception it received. Knowing that these works will remain forever as part of the museum’s permanent collection makes it even more special.

This is why I’ve spent every night of the last few winters chasing the Northern Lights and taking people out to experience the dream.

Because when a moment like this happens, there is simply no way to explain it.

A spectacular explosion doesn’t happen every night. But when it does, I make sure I’m there to experience it all over again.

The Northern Lights are one of the most powerful, inexplicable, mesmerizing and surreal natural phenomena on Earth.

Life really doesn’t get more magical than this. ✨

My favorite season of the year is finally here. 🌌

The magic of the Northern Lights is returning to the Arctic skies.

Who would have ever told me that, as a Cuban, one of my biggest dreams would be to spend my nights chasing the Northern Lights?

And yet, here I am.

This year, I’m officially calling Tromsø, Norway, home — one of the most beautiful cities in the Arctic. And I couldn’t be more excited for another season under these incredible skies.

So, to all the Aurora chasers, photographers, dreamers and adventurers out there: I’ll be waiting for you.

Come join me for an adventure you’ll never forget. 💚
