New DOP work for @stc_canada with the legendary @georgesstpierre

As a young Canadian kid growing up watching the UFC, Georges St-Pierre very quickly became the favourite. Not only was he the best, but he also stood for what it meant to be a class act athlete. Respectful, strong, and standing up for what is right. That is a great role model. So to say that I was excited when I was asked to shoot this project, would be severely underplaying it. It was an honour to work with one of my childhood heroes.

I had a conversation with @michaelgoiz almost 10 years ago saying that we will shoot a project together with GSP one day, and that day happened.

Thank you to the legendary team that without them, this project could not have been possible. You guys rock.

DOP work for @gooverlandcanada

This project was a true labour of love. I had an incredible time bringing this project to life, and I’m deeply grateful to the team at Go Overland Canada for trusting me with their story. Working with people who are patient, collaborative, and genuinely passionate made the process frictionless.

This one was special, and I’m excited to create more work like it in the future. Thank you to my team who helped me create this piece.

Possibly one of the coolest places I’ve ever camped at in my life. Getting a fire lookout cabin all to yourself is pretty surreal. Pick a direction to look at and you’ll be in awe of what you see. As far as the eye can see.

I’ve always seen videos online of people camping in places like these and thought to myself how amazing it would be to do that one day. I can answer that now with confidence that you won’t be disappointed.

It was a journey to get to but so worth it. Pro tip, check your cooler for ice conditions before going up. Might end up with soup. taken in Canada by @gabrielshubat

I’ve been road tripping across Canada for the last few months and I’ve had the most unbelievable time. I have seen some epic places and met some of the kindest and most generous people. Just be open to experience and the world will reward you plentifully. Here are some photos from one of my last adventures during the trip. Postcards from BC

This trip is one for the books. Likely the greatest sunset of my life. Unforgettable. Like a little Patagonia in Canada. A gift.

Last summer my friend @drewaustin reached out to me to help shoot some interviews and additional footage for a short documentary he was working on. It was for pro snowboarder @liam_brearley . Naturally it didn’t take much convincing.

We shot in Liam’s hometown of Gravenhurst Ontario and some other hidden nooks around Muskoka. Drew and I spoke early on about our approach to filming this. We wanted it to be filled with life and emotion, and above all else we wanted it to feel raw and present. The whole time we were filming it felt as though we were just a bunch of overgrown children making movies with our friends. To me, that’s what it’s all about.

It was a great opportunity to work on this project, telling the story of a local legend and being a part of this journey. Thanks Drew for having me out, and I’m looking forward to the next project. 🤙 Here are some of my selected frames.

You can watch the doc title “Unfinished” on the @xgames YouTube channel or from the link in my bio.

New DOP work for @myrocky

This was the second of three national broadcast spots that we shot for Rocky. The catch? We had 36 hours to shoot all three. We assembled a nimble crew that could adapt on the fly without sacrificing any quality. Thank you to the epic team who worked hard to make this all happen.

New DOP 🎥 work - Phantom Golf

It was awesome to get creative with our lighting work and camera work for this one. Denis came to me with a vision and we executed it. A specialty shot (in a confined environment) was to transition from a floating shoe to underneath our talent in a seamless motion. We got jiggy with our plexi setup to ensure the shoe is lit as similarly to our floating shoe setup as possible.
