On the hunt for pockets of joy 🤍 by @gaby_wiseman

Three frames, thirty seconds, that made me infinitely proud to be a ‘Babwean. What a place, what a people and what a privilege to be able to look through the bush for butterflies and moments like these.

#sorrynotsorry but fuck I love my “job”
.
If ever there was an Ndebele phrase that resonated with me, one that struck me to my core and failed to leave my memory. So much so I happen to have it tattooed on my ankles. And if ever there was a moment I’d managed to capture that made me proud to be a Zimbabwean, not just the grab your heart at a National anthem proud, but one that corrupts your capillaries. It would be a culmination of these three frames. So if you must go, wherever that may be...
.
Hamba Kahle, directly translated means go well. But when you speak the language it carries an added weight, a deeper depth, one that English just can’t quite ironically put into words well enough.
.
Holding back tears filming these frames, choking on emotion stitching them into a timeline and grateful to not only witness, but record moments like this.
.
Twalumba loko, nyiyabonga ngakhulu, tinotenda to Eddie and the Batoka team from Zambezi Sands for putting on one hell of a show for the Avenue crew when Gabi, Candibod and Lisa popped across from Cape Town to experience some good old Babwean hospitality. Excuse my French, but Fuck I love being a Zimbo. by @gaby_wiseman

Bold Woman Awards by @veuveclicquot 💛 what an incredible project to work on.

Inspiring female entrepreneurs with stories worth sharing and a room full of people supporting them, wanting to celebrate their triumphs - it’s really something special.

Quick drop in on a @tedbaker.za production - the team did SUCH an incredible job. Obsessed with the latest content! 🤩

An educational stay at @moreahouse - sending my last emails with the sun setting just outside my window - there are worse ways to end a workday. 😍

Vic Falls blessings - got to the airport soaked (from the falls and all the tears I shed after wrapping our shoot at @batoka_africa). So worth it.

A pinch me moment on the Zambezi at sunrise, mid shoot. Just breathtaking.

If you know me, you know this is heaven to me. @batoka_africa totally stole my heart. Just an unreal project to work on.

A hosted dinner at a gorge house in Constantia.

Next up, the luggage to go with it 🧳
