My self-portrait studio appointment was scrapped yesterday. And with the threat of the typhoon, instead, I decided to sip a Spanish latte and eat a slice of carrot cake to celebrate what is probably one of the best highlights of my year so far. I wasn’t sure about sharing this because others may see it as trivial, but for me, it’s a joy I want to keep experiencing every day. It’s my 2025 year-ender and my 2026 year-starter. 💖 These past few years, I have lost so much confidence and trust in myself, and never did I imagine that someone would trust me. A total stranger, in fact! While waiting for a friend at a food court on December 17 at exactly 4:41 p.m., I received a message asking me to be a collaborator. I remember thinking, Why me? I’m not a model. I don't have THAT face card. I don’t have a fancy camera or an iPhone. My phone is literally a few drops away from giving up. And my following? Small. Quiet. Ordinary. I was so happy I felt like crying 😭, but since I was in a public space, I held back my tears. It might sound shallow to others, but it’s the first time in a long time that I’ve felt appreciated and trusted. I felt valued. I felt seen. So yes, this is my first-ever collaboration with a well-known and trusted brand. 🥹✨💖 I was already thankful when you picked me for the wittiest comment contest for the Mudkip bag. Now, I am beyond happy to be part of your team. I cannot emphasize enough how cosmic this feels to me. This is not just a tote bag for me. It gave me confidence and new realizations. @rairai.shop — I don’t have the perfect words, but I have a sincere heart. Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for seeing me. I may not be able to promise everything, but I will give my best. Always. 💖 taken in CaféJulio.cebu by @gadcordero
