21 KM + 50 DAYS OF SHUFFLING = RUNNING FOR A CAUSE

This Sunday, Oct 18, I’m running the Toronto Waterfront Half Marathon, and this time it’s bigger than a personal goal.

I’m raising funds for HF Care Foundation’s Miles of Smiles team, supporting mental health awareness. Running and dancing taught me the same lesson: progress doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one step at a time.

If you’ve enjoyed following my journey, I’d love your support: $5, $10, $20, whatever works. Link in bio to donate.

Can’t donate? Sharing this or cheering me on Sunday means just as much.

Every step counts, on the dance floor or the racecourse.

~ HYROX Toronto 2026 : Doubles | 1:29:02

We had gone into this with zero training so we settled on two simple goals: 1. have fun and 2. sub-90 because Erica is a bully and wanted Lang to eat broccoli 👀😂

It’s safe to say we enjoyed ourselves throughly, it’s triggering my collectors anxiety for the other patches though.. and a faster finish. maybe a more serious race next time 💪🏻😁

Day 49 of learning how to shuffle until I can do it smoothly. First day my legs feel better since hyrox for shuffling. Felt good to shuffle again! #shuffling #dancestudent #dancejourney #melbourneshuffle #learningtodance by @gaireacts

1:29:02. sub-90. we actually did it.

hyrox toronto doubles with tep. 8 stations, 8 runs, zero quit.

fastest station was farmers carry (1:53) and i closed the last run in 5:04, honestly the part i'm most proud of. wall balls nearly ended me though (6:55 lol).

if you've been thinking about trying one of these, just sign up. you'll surprise yourself.
