There’s something about working with limitations that makes whatever you’re building uniquely yours. I have a handful of limitations. For example, finances, my knowledge of web development, and plenty more but I’ve never let them stop me from creating what’s in my mind. I might not be able to fully realise everything I envision because of those limitations, but I do what I can with what I have. In the end, that becomes its own unique visual language. Just like this landing page I’m building for my fashion brand. I didn’t want it to look like every other brand’s website with the same old layout. To me, I’ve got to let you into my mind or at least try to because this is about so much more than just products. It’s storytelling. It’s about building a vision from the ground up with limited resources, limited connections, and every hurdle that comes with it. All I know is that I’m fixated on bringing to life what I’ve been envisioning since 2021. No amount of hurdles or limitations is going to stop me from making it a reality. Not a lack of resources. I’ve been hella bummed about not being able to do my usual weekly UNCUT entries because I just don’t have the mental capacity for them at the moment. (It’s been about three months since my last recording.) Even when it comes to physically building products for PoG, I haven’t been able to do much lately. My energy has been going into job hunting—trying to land a corporate 9–5 role to bring some financial stability back into my life. The last time I worked in corporate was in 2020. Since then, it’s been freelancing and odd jobs here and there. Right now, I’m working part-time at Everyman Cinema to make ends meet. But yeah… building a fashion brand ain’t sexy. Building a business ain’t sexy either, for that matter. Can’t be a starving artist with a mind full of gold. Sometimes you’ve got to play the game of life. I guess the new format of UNCUT will be these snapshots of whatever phase of life I’m currently in. Building @pioneersofgreatness Greatest, GALANA©CI by @galanacci

Creatively I’ve been STAGNANT. Job hunting taking up too much of my mental bandwidth rn. So I decided to get the ball rolling again and started developing a footwear design I did last year. Much needed reset. Only been to a handful of chill hikes like Bamford Edge, Rivelin Valley, and Arthur’s Seat, which were all under 300m of a climb. But nothing compared to hiking the base of the Matterhorn in Cervinia (more or less a 1,000m climb at just under 3,000m altitude). Despite being the slowest in the group, not bad for someone with a torn ACL (didn’t even buckle once) and hiking in AF1s! Experiences like this remind me how much of what goes on in our day-to-day lives doesn’t even matter. But you gotta play the game. Once I’m UP, I’m defo gonna disappear off into nature and live the rest of my life painting. The way I can trace these designs pre-AI times is mad. Just goes to show ideas do not have an end date. It’s down to you whether you’d like to keep them alive or not. Building @pioneersofgreatness Greatest, GALANA©CI K2G emblem short for “KEYS 2 GREATNESS” originated from the very first graphic tee I designed for my previous brand. The OG “GREATNESS” graphic tee back in 2021. This may or may not make a comeback 🤔 Taking home my new toy aka da 3D printer. Shout out to @ebenbuilds for hooking me up 🙌 @cookieandorea nosey one All set up in da home studio! Can’t even spell ACRONYM properly 😂 Calibrating the 3D printer by doing some test prints. The way I wanted to get a 3D printer 5 years ago but never pulled the trigger but at least we here now! Getting the hang of calibrating the printer. Just blows my mind that it’s only now that I got my hands on a 3D printer. Obsessed… I said I won’t have any visible branding on PoG but now seeing these at hand I may just make an exception because holy shit 🤩 by @galanacci

To me, great designers don’t just build great products. They build a language so they can write poetry. That’s how I’m approaching the development of PoG. I’m creating a design language that doesn’t rely on logos, but instead on form, function, construction, materiality, scale, abstraction, and subtraction. There’s no expiration date on ideas. Execute in da long run. Proud of this one. First ever trousers I’ve designed from start to finish. From ideation, pattern drafting/cutting, prototyping, through to sampling. But the job’s not done. I’ve only made two samples so far (one back in November 2025 and this one), as well as four prototypes. So there’s still further refinement to be done: * slight tightness around the crotch area * fabric pooling beneath the glutes * further construction issues to resolve …But overall, the fit is there. Can’t emphasise enough how important it is to execute an idea and improve it later. And this right here is a testament to that. Back then, the best way I could bring an idea to life was through sketching, so that’s exactly what I did. Building @pioneersofgreatness Greatest, GALANA©CI by @galanacci
