The exhibition, Spirit, Nature and Transcendence officially comes to a close tomorrow; 7th October, 2026 as we prepare for the next show.

These artists have had a full circle experience with GÀLÀRÍ, from the open call, to the Classroom that have positively effected their practice, to showcasing their works on the walls of the gallery. It truly has been a worthwhile experience.

Spirit, Nature & Transcendence is the 3rd exhibition in GÀLÀRÍ's Open Call 2026, a mentorship-driven program supporting emerging artists.

This show brings together five artists whose work explores spirituality, faith, nature, and cosmic connection: Muktar Yusuf, Saliu Oluwadamilare, Amos Osemwengie, Akindele Fatimah Dairo, and Ogundele Olumide.

Their works were developed after an intensive ClassRoom session, part of the open call program.

Come see the show before it closes.

Last week, I stood beside works that carried pieces of my journey, my questions, my faith, and my becoming.

The One Who Knows What Is Formed is more than a series to me. It is a reflection on the mystery of becoming the things we cannot yet see, the things still being shaped, and the One who knows what we are becoming even before we do.

Seeing people connect with these works reminded me why I create.

Thank you to everyone who came, looked, asked questions, shared their thoughts, and experienced the works with me.

The journey continues.
Still showing at GALARI 30, Oluwaleimu street Ikeja Lagos.

A highlight from the opening reception of Spirit, Nature and Transcendence.

The artists’ works made the gallery come to life but only your presence truly made the experience worth it, so we say a big thank you to everyone who graced the opening.

Spirit, Nature & Transcendence gathers works that turn toward what cannot always be seen, measured, or fully explained, each offering a different account of how humanity reaches toward what lies beyond the physical.

The exhibition is open until the 30th of September, 2026.

Meeting these kids from my recent exhibit melted my heart and i hope this video does yours too?

It reminded me of why i do what i do and why i do it the way i do it!

So much excitement, so much purity, innocent curiosity and charm they exude. And such was the seeds that sparked this journey of mine in the first place when i was once as young as them.

For much of my art is driven by the need to stay connected to that childlike magic and wonder.

So seeing and engaging with them about my art like this felt like a full circle moment for me and i can't help but keep gushing over it. Love.✨️🌹

“Spirituality to me is intimacy with God”

Olumide Ogundele expresses the meaning behind his exhibited works. The works are based on his personal experience with his walk with God; how he falls into sin and how this is similar to being physically naked and how it draws him away from God.

Immerse yourself in these body of works when the exhibition opens this Sunday, 13th of September, 2026 at GÀLÀRÍ.

In the works for this exhibition, the artist, Muktar Yusuf draws inspiration from the book of revelation as he wonders about the kind of bodies humans would adopt after we become transformed.
