POSTS STORIES REELS

We’re honored to once again be recognized with a @michelinguide star.

This star belongs to all of us: to our guests who return again and again, to the farmers and makers who fill our kitchen, and to Team Galit, who keep it all running.

Every dish we make, every table we serve, and every shared meal is a reflection of your support and belief in what we do.

So let’s celebrate the way we know best: around our table, with good food and great company. by @galit_restaurant

In times like these, we find hope in our children. Galit will be donating to the Israeli Children's Fund and the Palestine Children's Relief Fund to honor the children that we have lost and the children that will build us a better future. We wish them and everyone peace. by @galit_restaurant

Chef @zjengel is heading to Sicily with Modern Adventure (@modernadventurists) in July of 2027—and you can come, too!

He’s taking 20 people on a deep dive across the island: picnicking in ancient ruins, rolling pasta at organic farms, jeep-touring Mt. Etna’s volcanic vineyards, and cracking open old-school Modica chocolate.

Book the trip of a lifetime at the link in our bio. Spots are VERY limited! by @galit_restaurant

Mary’s Crispy Phyllo pie makes its annual return.

This time, it’s complete with braised Honeycrisp apples from Suzie, sahleb ice cream, and baklavah tuile. by @galit_restaurant

DUMPLING TOUR: Chicago

Stop 8 and the finale. Two nights with James Beard Award–winning Chef Zach Engel, Andrés Clavero, and their teams at Galit and Café Yaya.

First, happy hour at @galit_restaurant. Our friends at @rareteacellar brought caviar, truffles, and matsutake mushrooms. We brought the same dumplings you’ll find at the store. Here’s what was on the menu:

Signature Chicken Dumplings with labneh, chives, Golden Kaluga caviar, and chili garlic oil

Berkshire Pork Dumplings with truffle jus, hakurei turnips, and black Burgundy truffle

Scallion Pancakes with house-cultured labneh, za’atar, and matsutake mushrooms

Thank you to @galit_restaurant and @rareteacellar for making this night happen, and everyone who joined us. Café Yaya up next! by @galit_restaurant

@catalpa_grove_farm Lamb Roulade with mahleb jus, Vanessa grapes, hakurei turnips, Chinese broccoli, and baharat. by @galit_restaurant

The pavlova was too good to drop, so we’re keeping it around with a fall update.

Fig sauce at the center, whipped sheep’s milk cheese, figs three ways (dried, honey-roasted, & fresh), and a drizzle of za’atar honey. by @galit_restaurant

Come Through.

On November 11, we’re getting together at Publican Quality Meats for a Thanks & Giving Cocktail Party in support of The Evolved Network.

Bites from Chef Rob Levitt(@publicanquality , @publicanchicago), two-time James Beard Award-winning Chef Zach Engel(@galit_restaurant , @cafeyaya_chi), and TEN’s Sebastian White(@sebastians.kitchen), alongside drinks from a special guest bartender.

No assigned seats. No formal program. Come by anytime between 6 and 9 PM, grab something to eat and drink, spend some time with us, and stay as long as you’d like.

The evening is part of our campaign to raise $40,000 to sustain TEN’s work in Chicago schools. As our school partners continue to navigate budget pressure, we’ve made the decision to keep showing up. Your ticket helps support the people, fresh ingredients, garden supplies, and resources that make that possible each week.

Come Through: An Evening with TEN at PQM
Tuesday, November 11 | 6–9 PM
Publican Quality Meats
825 W. Fulton Market

Wait, did you know we’re doing this on Thursday? Caroline Schiff (@pastryschiff) is in the house on Oct 22 celebrating her new cookbook, Daily Dessert.

She teamed up with Chef Mary (@notasweetsperson) on a one-night-only dessert platter, and she’ll be hanging out signing books all night.

We love an excuse for a dinner party — especially when it means a night at Galit (@galit_restaurant).

Lucky for us, that’s everyday at Galit for chef Zach Engel (@zjengel) and co-owner Andrés Clavero (@el_ac_slater). Picture the restaurant as an extension of their homes: where every life moment – big or small – brings everyone around the table for a family style meal.

Watch the full episode for a peek inside what makes this space feel like home to the team. Link in bio to book your next dinner party at Galit. by @galit_restaurant
