Life has a funny way of reminding us that sometimes the things we fear most are the things we admire most.

Gianna turned back before conquering the Blue Mountain trail because it looked just a little too intimidating.

Fast forward to the exhibition, and her favourite painting is 🤣 the very path she was afraid to tread!

Perhaps it was never the storms that defined her, but the resilience they nurtured. The mountains became her teacher, her refuge, and her endless source of inspiration. Today, that resilience is woven into every brushstroke, every colour, and every canvas she creates.

Come and Experience XI: A Blue Mountain Fairytale, where art, nature, and a lifetime of perseverance come together in a truly unforgettable collection.

AI vs. XI
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapidly transforms the world beyond the Blue Mountains, artist Maxine Gibson has chosen a different path, one she calls XI: her own personal intelligence.
Rooted in memory, observation, and lived experience, Maxine’s XI is drawn from the people, places, traditions, and quiet beauty of her Blue Mountain community. Every painting is a visual story, preserving a way of life that no algorithm can replicate.

While AI looks outward to an endless sea of data, Maxine looks inward, to the Mountains she knows, the faces she remembers, and the everyday moments that have shaped her world.

In a time when technology is redefining creativity, Maxine reminds us that the most powerful intelligence may still be the human heart, guided by experience, culture, and community.
