Our Curators' Pick this week is: Vale of Nysa Triptych by Mangōnui based artist Anna Evans. Being from the typically grey-skied Manchester, Evans' remembers feeling awestruck by the rich and vibrant colours present in sky, sea, flora and fauna. It is these early observations of light, vivid colour, textures and diverse ecosystems that continue to inform Evans’ work. This stunning work is available online or in the gallery at 33 Helwick Street, Wānaka taken in gallery thirty three by @gallerythirtythree

Congratulations Eliza Glyn on your current exhibition Perpetual Motion at Eastern Southland Gallery!

From her studio in Port Chalmers, Glyn maintains a sustained painting practice shaped by close observation, memory and constructed atmosphere. Her still life’s bring together domestic objects, collected ceramics, textiles and art materials, creating intimate arrangements that emerge from the interplay between everyday family life and the objects from her studio space. These paintings become visual narratives in which her family life and artist life converge, each work telling a story of the continual meeting of the domestic and the creative. by @gallerythirtythree
