Lovely surprise to see that my ceramic sculpture has sold at this years Summer show @royalacademyarts Last year I took a sabbatical from work and went down to @eastbournestudiopottery once a week to do ceramics. Years ago on foundation I’d done some and on and off basic teaching in a young offenders unit and school. The sculptural explorations were a totally new turn in my work and an itch to translate my paper cutout work somehow to 3d. This is the first sale of one of the larger sculptural pieces! #royalacademyofarts #londonshows #ceramicsart #ceramicsculptures #pottery by @gallit.shaltiel

Some of the #sgraffitopottery pieces I’ve been trying out on black clay over the last couple of weeks. A very satisfying process of drawing and carving into the surface. #pottery #ceramics #drawings #sussexartists by @gallit.shaltiel

Totally loving #sgraffitopottery on black clay. I have endless sketchbooks of drawing so good to use them to help me draw on clay. #ceramics #sussexartist #pottery #design by @gallit.shaltiel

Very large, life size textile wall piece! I did this as a tester and think the scale works well with my work. I also like the fact that textiles are foldable and portable. After years of exhibitions, these things become important #textiles #graphicdesign #wallhanging #papercut by @gallit.shaltiel

Leaners and other wares are set up @onnekeshop for artwave #artwave #artwavefestival #ceramics #exhibition #seaford by @gallit.shaltiel

I have missed my papercut work since I focused of ceramics for a while. I started playing on the lightbox with ready cut pieces today. This is a repurposed composition. There is something so satisfying about finding the right balance and moment the composition emerges. I was trying to make an interconnected piece and am thinking alot about our relationship to nature. How we feel uneasy about seeing the land dried out and dead but also the wonder of how fast things can replenish. #papercutart #papercutting #blacksndwhite #graphicdesign #sussexartist by @gallit.shaltiel

Ceramic ‘Leaners’ for @artwavefestival exhibiting @onnekeshop with a lovely group of creatives. The ‘Leaners ’ are made individually and like all my ceramic work, there is no repetition or templates. #ceramics #ceramicrelief #pottery #artwave #seaford by @gallit.shaltiel
