We are absolutely thrilled to finally announce... The MOB is playing Woodford! 🌴🎺 Bringing tropical grooves, world beats, phat bass, horns and soulful harmonies! Drop a comment if you’ll be there this year! 🌿✨ We can’t wait to share the stage and this special energy with you all. by @gambirra
What an unforgettable first day open to the public! 📖✨🎨 Seeing women of all ages fully immerse themselves in the installation space, walking through the bedroom of floating thoughts, connecting with the raw emotions on canvas, and interacting with the art firsthand, brought Courtney Cottle’s vision completely to life. From the grounding energy of the traditional smoking ceremony to the beautiful live music, the energy today perfectly showed the power of art and community. A massive thank you to everyone who stepped into this space with us today, explored the incredible art competition entries, and showed so much love for the project. If you missed today’s opening, the doors are officially open wide! Come experience it for yourself: 📍 The Entrance Gallery (Norberta St, The Entrance NSW 2261) 📆 Open Daily, 8 AM – 6 PM | running until 17th October 🎟️ An Exhibition for All Ages by @gambirra
Get ready to hear Oroana ⚡️ Gambirra Illume⚡️Shyamla⚡️ Blak Douglas ⚡️ and Vincent Sebastian ⚡️ in a conversation centred on the vitality of living cultural practice. Doors open at 2pm.
Join us for Acknowledgement of Country at 2.30pm. From 2.45pm, the panel discussion will dive into ‘Living Culture: Exploring Our Ancestral Self Through Artist’s Creative Practice’ This panel asks how artists become custodians of living culture, how they nurture traditions that continue to evolve with integrity, and how creative practice can strengthen pathways of communication, reciprocity and collective flourishing between First Nations and diasporic communities. Presented exclusively for Rituals, Oroana (founder of Mami Guata) is facilitating a space for conversation, reflection, and reciprocal exchange with this esteemed panel of leading artists and cultural practitioners whose work is shaping the arts and cultural landscape. This conversation is held in recognition that we gather on the unceded lands of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We honour the Traditional Custodians of Country, whose enduring connection to land, waters, skies, culture, and community continues to guide and inspire.  Sunday 13 Sept ⚡️ 2-8pm ⚡️ Machine Hall Have you registered for your free ticket yet? www.sydneyfringe.com/events/rituals (🔗 in Heartdancers’ bio) Supported by City of Sydney, SoundNSW, Create NSW and Machine Hall’s M.PWR series @cityofsydney @soundnsw @creatensw @machinehall Presented by Heartdancers as part of Sydney Fringe’s #Yalgali First Nations Program @sydneyfringe by @gambirra
