2025 highlights: Gained 20lbs (intentional). Learned to ski. Reached 2 years hair growth. Turned 30. Grew a beard. Hated my beard. Shaved my beard (RIP). Left my shitty job. Played 1 concert. Released 2 songs. Reached 3 years singing lessons.

Oh yeah, I also spent the whole year sober. No problems with smoking or drinking, just wanted to see what a year of sobriety would be like since I usually party with my friends on weekends. I mostly did it on a whim.

I learned a lot, but the biggest thing’s probably this: I am way stronger than I ever gave myself credit for. I can do hard things I don’t want to do. I can say no to easy things I do want to do. I can push through difficulty, endure discomfort, see commitments through to the end even when I stop wanting to. In short, I am an unstoppable force and an immovable object. Nice to meet you.

Wrapped time so lemme be honest - every year I feel more like I’m failing at music. Life’s taken me away from what I want to do the most more every year. I’ve put out less songs every year. I haven’t released an album since 2022. I cannot figure out live shows or how to get out of CT. I am nearly invisible on social media. I feel daily like I’ve missed the boat, let people down, wasted my chance.

Despite that, somehow people continue to listen to the music I have put out. Somehow there are still people who listen to me more than any other artist. I always feel like I’m going to lose everything I’ve built, like I’ve already lost everything because I’ve been gone so long, but somehow there are lots of people there to remind me that they’re still rooting for me.

So if you’re still out there listening to my shit, thank you. If you’re one of the 47 people listening to me more than anyone else, THANK YOU.

I don’t wanna make any more promises I can’t keep, but I will say this: I’m working on one of the best albums I’ve ever made, and it’s coming out in 2026. I hope you’ll still be listening then too. Love, Gambit 🖤 by @gambitraps
