It’s not just drying time! Take the time between coats and before handling to let the paint cure. Five to seven days!

I should add that you do not need to do any sanding, regardless of what the paint can may have to say about glossy surfaces. That’s why allowing full curing time is key. Otherwise, “read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest” the directions provided on the can.

The Ramirez family of Gamble Acres are proud Mexican-Americans. Mike closed up shop early and came home to find his daughters, Mari and Gabi, chatting while Gabi finished her homework.
Slide 2: They posed for a photo before heading out to celebrate Dia de Muertos with extended family.

Gabriela’s traditional embroidered top and Marisol’s dress were made by me. 😊 by @gamble._.acres

After hitting up the neighborhood houses, these intrepid kids are off to Tha Basement Doll Town, owned by @mammabearjennidolls to trick or treat on Main Street.

The kids are wearing a combo of horrible plastic costumes from the seventies, and homemade costumes consisting of random clothes found around the house. And bad clown makeup, of course. It wouldn’t be Halloween without bad clown makeup. by @gamble._.acres

Some of the kids from Gamble Acres are heading over to #thabdt to trick or treat!
They heard the stores are giving out really good treats. Thanks to @mammabearjennidolls for inviting them! #trickortreatonmainstreetinthabdt by @gamble._.acres

Kind of an abrupt ending, but I cobbled this together from a couple of random ideas I had while taking photos at the October meeting of @capital_doll_collective
Wish I had taken more pics of the other club members’ dolls in the club!

Happy Halloween! 🎃 by @gamble._.acres

This is probably the cleanest A Frame I’ve rehabbed, but it’s still pretty grungy.
Videos of my progress will resume on Monday. Enjoy your weekend, and Happy Halloween!

There’s a sparkle vampire on the loose in the dungeon!
The club, dungeon, and custom Ken doll bound to an X frame are all by @kingbros.h
Unfortunately, I had to pose the dolls in such a way to preserve a PG-13 rating. My photos don’t do this diorama justice! by @gamble._.acres

Pretend my Jeep has a back seat. 😅 by @gamble._.acres

Just a quick babble today about cleaning grungy floor panels. Lucky for me, only one tiny spider was residing under the floor in this A Frame! 😅

Look at my tiny occult stuff!

Since my doll story is an homage to the TV series Supernatural, and because it’s spooky season, here’s a flat lay of some of the items the Winchesters use to hunt monsters. Included are journals, spell books, the magical McGuffin known as The Colt Pistol, goofer dust, Purgatory weapons, and a crystal chalice 3-D printed by @veryfunnykaren

With this collection, we join #lookatmytinystuff graciously hosted by @barbienamibia by @gamble._.acres

Part two of restoring a Mattel 1978 A-Frame: tips on disassembly.

If you want a step by step process, the original assembly instructions are available on “The One & Only Barbie 1978 A Frame Dream House Website For Devoted Fans.” Just reverse the steps to safely take apart your A Frame for restoration. by @gamble._.acres

Story post! Another couple are heading out for the evening.

And Benny is also joining #storiesaboutdolls hosted by @catherine.c.p.i with the October theme of “Little Nightmares.” It turns out, a vampire’s nightmares are very different from a human’s… Or are they? Would you go out in a clown costume if your significant other wanted you to? by @gamble._.acres
