POSTS STORIES REELS

Sejam bem vindos! by @gaminguniversegu

🇧🇷
Oi gente.
Diante disso, queria decretar oficialmente o fim do Gaming Universe.

🇺🇸
Hi everyone.
After many months of being away, I’m reappearing here to at least give some explanation.
Since I posted my last photo, my life has changed a lot and I had less and less time to play and even less time to post on Gaming Universe.
As a game collector, I created GU to showcase some games from my collection that I have a certain fondness for, as well as to meet other people. I tried to maintain a routine of at least one post per week. But for the reasons I mentioned above, it ended up becoming unfeasible to continue.
Therefore, I wanted to officially declare the end of Gaming Universe. I wanted to thank everyone who followed me during this year and a half, for the comments, for the shares, for everything!
You were incredible to me and I wish you all good luck and success! by @gaminguniversegu

2025.08 - Donkey Kong 94

🇧🇷

A game that deserves more attention!
Originally released for Gameboy in 1994 and recently made available on Switch Online, Donkey Kong is a game that mixes puzzles with platforms, in which in each level with Mario, you must pick up a key to open a door that takes you to other levels. And in each level, you have to think hard about how to get through, in addition to avoiding enemies.
In many lists, many people classify this game as one of the best for Gameboy. And I have to say that I agree! It was a pleasant surprise to play this game, which in many levels made me think for a long time.
As I said before, this game is available to Switch Online subscribers, and for those who like games that require thinking and logical reasoning, I highly recommend checking out Donkey Kong 94.
What about you? Have you heard of this game?

2025.07 - Astro Bot

🇧🇷
O atual vencedor do GOTY!

🇺🇸
The current GOTY winner!
Considered one of the most unexpected results in the history of The Game Awards, Astro Bot is a sequel to Astro Playroom, a game that comes free on the Playstation 5, which has as one of its main objectives to demonstrate the technologies of the Dualsense controller. And this game is no different.
Both games make many references to the Playstation universe, and while Astro Playroom focuses on references to Sony consoles and accessories, with secret collectible items in the levels, Astro Bot focuses on the characters of the games, having to rescue characterized bots. In this regard, the characterized characters can not only be from Sony exclusives, but there are also some from third-party companies.
Overall, I loved Astro Bot, and I made sure to collect all the collectibles! For those who like 3D platform games, I highly recommend this game!
What about you? Have you played Astro Bot?

Game & Watch Gallery

🇧🇷

Released between 1997 and 2002, Game & Watch Gallery (or Game Boy Gallery in Japan), is a franchise that compiles several Game & Watch games, which were a series of laptops released by Nintendo in the 80s where each one had a game on a calculator-style chart. And in these games, there is the option of either playing with the original graphics, or playing a kind of remake with Super Mario characters.
Who remembers Mr. Game & Watch in Super Smash Bros, you should remember that his attacks are very variable and inspired by these games.
For those like me who really like old games, and especially to know the games of an increasingly distant past, I recommend you test these games. As a curiosity, game 3 is currently available on Switch Online.

Super Mario All-Stars

🇧🇷
Feliz dia do Mario!

🇺🇸
Happy Mario Day!
Released in 2010 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first Super Mario Bros, Nintendo re-released Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii, a game that was originally released for the Super Nintendo. The games are remakes of the Super Mario Bros trilogy released for the NES, as well as The Lost Levels.
This edition also comes with a soundtrack containing a song from each Mario platform game released up until then (from the first Super Mario Bros to Mario Galaxy 2) and even some sound effects from the first game.
In both seasons that the game was released, people had the chance to learn about Mario’s origins. Since the Super Nintendo didn’t have backwards compatibility with the NES and the Wii, the retro gaming scene wasn’t at the same level as it is today.
And you, do you know this version of the original Super Nintendo?

2025.06 - Final Fight

🇧🇷

🇺🇸
A classic of beat em ups!
In recent years, I’m going to get a taste for games of this style. Thinking about it, I acquired on Switch, a collection that contains 7 beat em up games, which is the Capcom Beat em up Bundle. And I reset the most famous game that comes, which is Final Fight.
The game itself has a simple gameplay with only one button to hit and another to jump. But what catches my attention is the high difficulty of the game, where I had to use more than 20 continues.
For those who love beat in ups, I recommend playing this classic that was released in the early 90s and served as the basis for other games in the future!
And you? Have you ever played this game?

2025.05 - Super Mario Party

🇧🇷

🇺🇸
One of the first Switch games!
Released in October 2018, after a series of franchise game releases that were negatively criticized, Super Mario Party was considered by many to be one of the best games in the saga.
The game doesn’t have a story mode, but what I think I reset is the fact that the game gives you the goal of winning all the modes it has.
As a fan of the franchise, I agree that this is one of the best games in the saga, especially that on the boards, the choice of characters can make a difference, because in addition to the traditional dice from 1 to 6, each character has his own dice with different numbers.
As a Switch release, this game also demonstrates the features of Joy Cons, with different uses in each minigame.
Despite the launch of Super Mario Party Jamboree, which improved many aspects of the 2018 game, I highly recommend it!
And you? Have you ever played?

2025.04 - The Simpsons Hit & Run

🇧🇷

🇺🇸
The famous GTA from The Simpsons!
Being one of the most famous and well-known games in the series, I decided to pick up The Simpsons Hit & Run to finish it. And the game does indeed have a lot of inspiration from the games in Rockstar’s most famous franchise.
However, despite this, the game suffers from being very repetitive. The vast majority of missions consist of getting to other points on the map as quickly as possible, and in these, the time to complete them is absurdly short, with many missions where I arrived with 5 seconds to spare. In addition, many missions can only be advanced by buying a specific outfit or car, which makes you explore the map in search of coins. Not to mention that as the game progresses, we control different characters, and with each of them, we have a certain region of Springfield to explore.
Overall, The Simpsons Hit & Run is a game that has flaws that could easily be fixed, and in the end, I consider my experience to be a bit disappointing.
What about you? Have you played this game?

2025.03 - Halo Reach

🇧🇷
Joguei os quatro jogos do The Master Cheif Collection, além do Halo 5 Guardians.

🇺🇸
I’ve never been a big fan of the Halo saga. I played all four games in The Master Chef Collection, as well as Halo 5 Guardians. And of these games, Halo 3 is the only one that I really liked, and I still consider it one of my favorite FPS games. The other four games didn’t leave as much of an impression on me.
And Halo Reach is considered by many fans to be one of the best games in the saga, which made me interested in trying it out. After completing the game, I have to say that I agree with these fans.
The game isn’t among my favorite FPS games and didn’t have the same impact on me as Halo 3, but I found it to be an excellent game that has aged very well. I still believe that Halo 3 is the best game in the saga, but Halo Reach is also a great game!
