POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Different levels to this game.
Most of uh are still stuck on the tutorial.

FMX flights. Drift smoke. Wheelies.
A Land Cruiser on two wheels.
An F1 monster ripping donuts inches away.

While people in the stands were busy filming stories,
I was running through smoke & engines chasing frames.

Sprinting between stunts. Framing chaos. Hunting light.
Then going home to fight the real battle -
The edit. The grade. The sound design.
Alone.

& people still wonder why my motorsport films feel different.

Maybe because i don’t “cover” events.
I hunt moments & turn them into cinema.

Some of uh attend the show.
I leave with the film.

Made with what I had. Not what I wished I had.
Some things take a village. Some take vision.

A year ago, when the Defender OCTA was new to the world, I found myself with a car, an ageing Sony A7 III, a precision driver @carswithkaran and a head full of ideas.

There was no crew to divide the work with, no production budget to make things easier, no arsenal of equipment to fall back on. I was responsible for the stills, the film, the direction, the logistics, and eventually, every frame that made it into the final edit.

I had to be the person who imagined it, the person who figured out how to make it happen, and the person who stayed behind long after the shooting was done to bring it all together.

There is a peculiar kind of solitude in making something this way. You have to carry the entire vision in your head, even when the means to realise it are limited.

You learn to make do, to improvise, to solve problems quietly, and to find a way forward when there is nobody else to turn to. There is no one to pass the difficult parts to. There is only the work, and the promise you made to yourself about what it could become.

You remember what it took. The hours, the decisions, the compromises you refused to make, the little victories nobody witnessed. You remember how much of yourself went into something that, to everyone else, is simply a finished piece of work.

And then, sometimes, you find yourself standing at a distance, watching the world celebrate the very kind of work you have spent so long trying to make.

You can admire what others have accomplished while wondering, in a moment of uncomfortable honesty, whether what you did ever mattered to anyone beyond yourself.
But I have come to believe that the circumstances in which something is made should not determine the worth we assign to it.

I wish I had recognised that effort then. I wish it had been seen. And I would be lying if I said that the absence of that recognition never hurt.

Some things take a village. Some take vision.

This was made with what I had.
