Check out my art @ulfert.janssen to see my art shenanigans, currently on show at TOKYO METROPOLITAN Art Museum from May 12th, as part of "Evolve Conceptual Art Exhibition" @evolveadj

Derived from the Greek word “asumptōtos” – Asymptote represents a concept that “related elements come close together but never actually becoming one, and heads separately towards infinity”.

This artwork expresses rising sea levels and wild fires caused by the rapid climate change, and the rift that divides the two in the middle.

Contrast is the key to Ulfert Janssen's artworks. His signature canvas made of metal plate exposed to corrosive processes, and the wood transformed by exposure to fire, comes alive with vibrant colors, powerful brushstrokes and dynamic composition.

With a first look, you will see super cool abstract landscapes with beautiful color fields, and with a closer look, you will see different sceneries and many surprising details.

Go to follow @ulfert.janssen for more stunning artworks; He will be in Tokyo during the exhibition period. Please contact him in case you would like to meet the artist at the exhibition!
