Finally got a set of wheels on the panel van, most amount of work I’ve ever had to ‘just fit’ a set of wheels. 2 sets of nuts, 3 sets of spigot rings, 1 trip to the machine shop, 5 different sizes of tyres but one absolutely nailed van. by @garage_87

Now the final episode of #longwayhome is out I can show some pics from when we handed Ewan’s lifted beetle over to him, we had a very last minute build on this so he could finish his trip off by trailering the bike home, but with the help of some good friends we got it done! @longwaytvofficial @robbo_vw @aircooled_auto_elec @vanguardmotorbodies by @garage_87

Daryl’s bay in for a service and rear brakes. 40 years of ownership he has with this, many memories, stories and family holidays! It lives a more retired life now attending the odd local car show but it’s still kept in top condition. Engine bay still looking fresh from our repaint/refurb a few years back. Thanks to @alanhschofieldvwltd for hooking us up with the parts 🤘 by @garage_87

Nice little Porsche 912 in for service work and oil leaks, new fuel lines, tune up, carbs balanced. Gear linkage rebuilt and setup. Underside was given a clean up and some fresh black and wax oil to protect it in these winter months! #porscheclub #porsche912 #aircooled #flatfour #flatsix by @garage_87

Nice stock late beetle in to sort the engine out. Unfortunately this customer had just bought this clean and low mileage example but years of standing about meant with its first signs of use the problems appeared, 3 out of 8 valves springs had snapped, upon strip down we found the heads had cracks between plug and valve seats…. Junk. I had some good used 1300 heads in and with a new set of springs, valves and new pistons rings we got it firing on 4 again. Tinware painted up and detailed, carb rebuilt and new fuel lines for peace of mind it’s now the reliable bug it should! taken in Glossop by @garage_87

Richard’s late Westy in for lowering work and a new set of wheels. Out with the 17 inch fuch and on with a set of cosmics, we removed the air ride and flipped spindles and went back to some traditional dropped spindles and all weight back on the leaf springs. Engine serviced, auto gearbox setup and a few other issues fixed. by @garage_87

Mint weekend @vivaskegvegasvw show, took zero pics at the show and just enjoyed myself after a heavy week or two sorting our blue Westy out. Needed some cargo floor repairs and a few patches which soon broke out into a whole side, luckily @robbo_vw was in town to stitch my dreams back together, new @type2detectives adjustable rear spring plates and little notches to get it down abit more. by @garage_87

Shout to @jackscowley for rescuing this before it melted into the floor. He’s currently taking responsibility of it and learning how to Volkswagen (or not to) after nearly 4 years of sitting outside the workshop it fired up with a setup of new points and some batteries, washed and ready for @tattonparkvwshow @vivaskegvegasvw by @garage_87
