Bit Gen Gamer Fest 2026. Planned to get onstage to close out @superthrashbrosofficial but the tight 30 min set ran out of time as Metroid was about to start. Great time at the show anyway! by @garbagemasher

Bitgen was a blast, as always! Thanks to all the bands, staff, and folks who came out to make it one of the best days of the year! If anyone got video of our set (particularly the last song), we’d love to see it.

2025 was our fifth appearance at Bitgen Gamer Fest, and our first as a duo. We were working on mixing our album VI: A Perilous Quest and so our set included several songs from it. This year we’ll be playing all of the other songs from it!

Tomorrow @theottobar , we play at 6:25 (swipe for full schedule) - come hang out, play free video games, and check out a ton of great video game related bands! by @garbagemasher

2022 was our fourth Bitgen, and while we’d been playing as a duo since 2020, @trent_deathstar made the trip back to Baltimore for the show, making this our first Bitgen with a familiar lineup. We also released our first full length V: A Desolate Place that summer, so our set was made up entirely of songs from that album.

This Saturday, August 1, we’ll be back @theottobar for Bitgen Gamer Fest XX! by @garbagemasher

2019 was our third consecutive Bitgen with a different lineup, this time featuring @darmockmusic on bass! Our set included the Bitgen debuts of Chewbacca Gets a Medal and You’re Gonna Get Us All Killed, and probably included more between song banter than usual.

Come hear what we have to say (not much) and play on August 1 at Bitgen XX at @theottobar ! by @garbagemasher

Our second Bitgen appearance was in 2018, our first with @josephleonardostrosky on drums. Our set was recorded with a 3D camera - you can rotate the view all around the room by dragging on the screen on the youtube video! We also released the audio on Bandcamp as the live album There’s Something Alive In Here, and it includes a mix of tracks the solo EP I put out in 2016 and our first full length, which we didn’t finish until 2022.

We’ll be back at @theottobar on August 1 for Bitgen XX, an all day celebration of all things video game! by @garbagemasher

We played our first Bitgen Gamer Fest back in 2017. We’d only played a handful of shows as a full band, with @trent_deathstar on bass and the instagramless Nick Speach on drums. Our set included several songs from what would become V:A Desolate Place, as well as an early version of Curse My Metal Body. I don’t have many pics from that show, but the full set is on youtube.

We’re back this year for Bitgen XX on August 1 at the Ottobar, and we’d love to see you there! by @garbagemasher

Twenty years ago I made an album on a 2004 PowerBook G4 because I was obsessed with literature, emo and oversharing. Now we’re celebrating two decades of nerd rap, awkward sincerity, and songs about English class at @theottobar!

Happy Star Wars day to those that celebrate! I’ll be observing the holiday by watching the Maul finale and remembering that time @galacticempireofficial ‘s fans waived their lightsabers in time to our songs! #maythe4thbewithyou by @garbagemasher
