When you are in a place where you can see absolutely everything all the time, signs point to the benefits of keeping the sacred to yourself. Perception can destroy just as easily as it can liberate.

Guys she’s here! ❤️‍🔥 The wood stove install took place yesterday and in less than a day she’s in and ready to use. (Haven’t yet though, too hot out still)

I have so many thoughts and feelings about the change, I’m so happy and relieved that fire is a part of our home again, the house has a heart.

I’m also still shaken from the physical change of the space and the big blank wall needs something on it that’s still a safe distance from the stove, that doesn’t make me feel as isolated as the imposing blank wall does at this particular minute.

The coffee table doesn’t fit the space anymore and the couch is floating lost in the sea of the room. So those are things that I will be changing with time. I have a vision of two comfy chairs with side tables. This room is the central hub of the house and it’s not just for aesthetics but the energy flow through the room is essential for the house to function. (I already walked into the couch in the middle of the night taking the dogs out 😝)

I’m excited for the potential it all has and for the moment we first light it. 🔥 it’s a big day for our little space.

The second photo is the cooktop on the stove that I can use to heat food and water

The rest are the progress of the installation and the last photo is the before shot of my cozy corner, the view I would wake up to from my bedroom and the feeling I’m working my way back towards.

It’s exciting times around here.

Like a cave with shadows dancing on the wall. 🫧

Last time I was having a thoughtful soak, I had a realization. It was that Plato’s cave allegory fits so much more perfectly than it ever had before ontop of our experiences on the internet. It’s been a handy reminder that what we see here is very much just a shadow of the shape of what reality really is like. Augmented by the fire and the ones who hold the means to transmit the information. It’s comforting to me in a way. I can still enjoy the show but know to crawl out of the cave now and then to feel what the truth of where I am really is like. xx Theia by @gardengoddesscottage

🌙 🔮✨ Cozy corner in the Virgo room. I’ve still got a few important to do’s in here before it’s fully useful (mostly involving a task that requires husbands help which is why it’s taking forever)

The vision is becoming clearer though 👁️ by @gardengoddesscottage

🧿 The strongest magic hides in plain sight, in a colour or a whisper or the secret choice to carry with you the energies that support the endeavours you pursue. Most of what I do, you may never notice but rest assured it’s there, tying together my life in this universe and what lies beyond. 🌿 Choices are invisible but make up the vast majority of the applications of the craft, and if you can remember this you needn’t feel powerless in this space. 💙 ✨ by @gardengoddesscottage

It’s Sept 10th! In honour I spent the morning in the garden cutting rosemary, oregano, basil, and picking tomatoes 🍅 for my secret sauce recipe. Annual tradition. Mugwort also needs a haircut, and I must remember to snag a bit of the wormwood before it gets properly cold here. (Gah I just love September 💙✨🌿) by @gardengoddesscottage

The mindful moments I’ve spent with this view are countless. I’m not going to say I just love doing the dishes, but I’ll let you know that I do own a dishwasher and never use it, which I think says a lot. Calm and careful repetition of a regular task can really change your brain, and the wilds that my thoughts find themselves in while in this space are a magickal gateway to some kind of personal peace. 🫧 🧽🌿 by @gardengoddesscottage
